The parents of all the children should bury their heads in shame because ordinarily, at that age (of ten years) the children should not even develop an urge for sex. Only God knows what type of moral and home training some people give to their children. That girl obviously was not having sex for the first time.

The parents should be brought to book on this because the law can do virtually nothing to these children on account of their respective ages.

Lastly, this should be a reflection of what the society really is. If this has happened, it means it can happen (or is also happening) in hundred of other cases in the country - especially among the upper crust of the society where a lot of scandals abound. Whether we like to believe or not, similar thing is happening in boarding schools all over the country.

The truth is boarding house has outlived it's time in present day world, I went to boarding house in the late 90's and there are somethings that happened, till date I can't even share with just anyone, and that was when there were no mobile phones and social media and it was an only boys school, after I left I said to myself I will never put my child in boarding house or advise anyone to do so, that was back then, now compare that time to over 20 years with all the rubbish going on the internet with social media and sex appeal.

If I were in charge of government, I will ban boarding house, some parents don't know that parenting style should change as the world is changing, you can't use old style of training children for modern times, boarding house doesn't help at all at this time, it worked in the past.

for programs like this competition, the school should make sure at least 1 parent or guardian should come along for such event, the expenses should be bore by the parent or the the child will be withdrawn from the event.

The housemaster thing cannot be as effective as parenting, if some parents that have only 4 children sometimes find it difficult to monitor and control their children, is it now a housemaster that will now effectively monitor and control over 76 children.

Parents need to be closer to their children now more than ever since the entire existence of mankind...

That was never her first attempt. Charity begins at home. The parents failed in their duty and school officials sent to accompany them didn’t do their jobs well in Dubai. They were probably got carried away leaving those children to do what they like.

I don't blame the school per se to be sincere. I attended boarding in late 80s/early 90s. We would jump the fence to go buy food off campus, party, smoke on and off campus, weed, palm wine etc. Sex in classrooms, some were caught. Guys sneaking to girls hostel to go meet their lovers. We had house masters, senior boarding house masters etc. At a point these people will go to bed and students will do their things. These things have been around for years, just that there was no camera to record our foolishness. I remember when I was in ss 1 at 13 going to 14 yrs, about 3 of us caught 2 of our classmates having sex 2 (hours after prep, during light out), we told him and the girl that we would have to do too else we would report them to the principal and the girl agreed. My point is the school obviously separated the girls from the boys but the girl found her way down to the 4th floor from 11th. I'm sure they have been having sex before now, hence, it was an agreement btw her and the boy to have sex that night. Some of her friends would be aware self, and they would cover up for her if a teacher had gone to the room during light out for a check.

Trust me it not about parents. They might do the best, when the time comes to experience something especially while in boarding, you go try am sha. And one you try, there is no going back because you will want more. Even the seniors in ss3, ss2,ss1 even go for a mature girl of js 2 and 3.

The boys were on 4th floor while the girls are at IIth floor. Is 7floors apart not enough measure? The school is so unfortunate to have an already morally bankrupt child in their school. Who knows whether the child was expelled and thus the stupid failed mother came to the internet to tarnish the image of the school?

The excesses of most of these rich kids is outta this world. They re over confident and always think they're intelligent...over pampered lots. The way their parents expose them to different sophisticated gadgets and tools,believing they re treating them nicely and exposing them to d modern world is ludicrous.

At the emboldened, you may correct but to an extent. It depends on how the school is organised and managed. My six years secondary school education was also in an all boys boarding school in the first decade of 21st century but I can always testify to the training there. One of the most unfortunate tragedy that happened to African child's upbringing is African man's imitation of the west. No matter how one may paint it, the African way of raising children is the best in terms of instilling good morals. All of these sophisticated schools have long lost touch with it and have long embarrassed the western method.

Didn't you read that the school went to Dubai with 76 students, and they were lodged in separate floors (separated by 7 floors). How else do you expect the school to manage 76 students.
