Back to topic, some people don't know that in WW2 when the nazi armies drew close to Stalingrad and Moscow, the US supplied state of the art weapons to Russia which slowed Germans blitzkrieg and changed the battle on Russia side from defensive to offensive. Though, one cannot take the duggedness of the Red armies but without the support of US machines, it was difficult to match the German machines.

The only weapon Russia invested their resources hugely more is on nuclear warheads. Without this, they are nothing.
