The problem with using force/military to quell an internal crisis of this nature is that the action of the military is mainly defensive, they respond only to attacks. The reason being that the rebels are our brothers and the need to avoid collateral damage. The rebels know this principle very well and that is why they are more daring.

You must have forgotten how Dambazau (a Northerner) undermined the VP i.e GEJ (a Southerner) in the dark days of the Yar Adua health saga even with Yar Adua comatose.
