Managed to nab Badr 5 the pan arab beam including the My Hd channels in Eldoret Kenya using a 180cm prime focus dish

The signal is good there even with a 90cm I was able to get afew tp's like 11334V 27500 hosting the Aljazeera News package...

esystem01, use an OCS(One Cable Solution) LNB.

If you are using QSAT decoder, verify that polarity of channel is the same as polarity in Biss key menu. The channel may display intermttently when the polarities are different. If you are receiving the channel on V use V in the biss key menu to enjoy stability.

press 8280.
If the receiver is not patched go to http://crosat.us/upload/index.php?direction=&order=&directory=Strong%20Receivers/Strong%20WIZKID%20Files/Strong%204%20Middle%20East&PHPSESSID=62039ed1cd96d4619288ec6b570545e8 and download the latest software (SRT4930_ALL_166p_20141014.zip) dated Oct 14 2014 and follow the instructions as outlined on page 545.

Rescan 12418 V 30000-2/3 on Amos 5 @ 17^oE.EURONEWS,CHANNELTEN,UBC,KWANZA TV back on TING ;all clear.

@Ball22.Select the channel you want to unscramble.
Go to Xcam Setup => Open Patch.
You will see biss key. Edit it or add the frequency of the channel in question.
Leave the next box under it as it is i.e, 0000.
Enter the biss keys xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx in the last box.
Make sure that the frequency you used in tracking the channel is the same as that in Biss key menu.

Just thought I should share this with fellow FTA enjoying football on IRIB but desiring English commentary. Hello gurus, i track Amos 5 @ 17E using srt 4669xii with many channels but RDV, STV, ORBT nd TVC refuse to pop up. What could be the problem? I tried adjusting d dish & lnb when only TVC freq flashing green. Pls help

@Spy360. Your DisEq C will fail (1) If you connect or disconnect it while the receiver is on
(or running). (2) Due to water damage.DisEq C is not water-proof.

zungwe93. You got to balance the dish properly between Amos 5
and EUTELSAT 16A.RDV is on EUTELSAT 16A @ 16^oE on tp 10804H 30000-2/3.
If you can lock Madagascar tp 11024 H 3333-AUTO,then you are good to go.

i can agree on no2 cos i felt some shocks these days on diseq .as fo no1 will it still work why decoder is off?

..are you sure your cables are not dead!..there is insertion when lnb is connected to the diseqc..where some receivers has low power output!bad cable will reduce power supply to the lnb,causing the lnb to malfunction!
