This article (by Emeka Ugwuonye, Esquire) speaks volumes. When we sometimes pretend to be what we are not, thinks can never go right or well. Having said this, let me copy and paste a historical analysis by one prof. Ihechukwu Madubuike with the title "know your history" and let us rationalize it. KNOW YOUR HISTORY.

Internal Affairs Minister SE
External Affairs Minister SE
Education Minister South SE
Many other key ministries to SE
Parliament President SE
Unilag VC from SE
The University of Ibadan VC from SE
North resisted same at ABU!

Still, there was dissatisfaction by SE, the officers from the region killed this same Balewa!!!!

Out of all the most senior officers in Nigeria, SE has 37, none was killed . 8 from the north, all of them were killed. 10 from the west, 2 were killed.

Then Ironsi imposed a unitary system of government on the country so that everything can belong to a region who snatched it!

We must know our history so that when we want to make corrections, we will not end up concealing the truth. This has nothing to do with tribalism but everything to do with the truth.....at times when lies litter the streets. There is a tendency to think those are truths and facts.

To that end, Ahmadu Bello, speaking on behalf of the Northern protectorate in 1944 described the amalgamation as "The mistake of 1914 which if allowed to remain will ultimately lead to unstoppable bloodshed and a failed country".
Awolowo, speaking on behalf of the Yorubas and Western minorities, described Nigeria as a mere geographical expression not qualified to be called a country let alone a nation. Awolowo added that if the amalgamation

Yes, they are all Northerners but remember just like South North also have 3 zones. North and South are all diverse but when appointment is made to a Northerner we hardly bother about the person's background, we just see him as Northerner. However, when appointment is made in the South, most Southerners talk more about his tribe especially Igbos and Yorubas leaving other minorities unconcerned. Look at how the appointment of NYSC DG has been distributed in the North under PMB's administration and ponder well about it:
1. Brigadier Gen. Zakari Kazaure, Jigawa-North-West
2. Brigadier Gen. Ibrahim, Nasarawa-North-Central
3. Brigadier Gen. Muhammad, Yobe-North-East

The last time I checked, JB Olawumi and Okorie Afia were not northerners.

you can never recreate history ... the youths are wise now and we have read the history and we know those whose ancestors put us in this mess because of their greed and power drunk attitude... igbos was to do what fulani are doing now but table turn ... we will never forget igbos killed the yoruba sitting prime minister Akintola .. we will revenge at the appropriate time , lagos is the battle field and if you are igbo just don't over invest in lagos oooooo ... just my sincere advise

NYSC is good program, the government should constantly review their activities to get the best from it for the participants and the nation.

All of the leaders in Nigeria it's only obasanjo that considered everybody is everybody.
