Yemi Osinbajo: The Man Who The APC Presidential Cap Fits by hnm2023: 12:13pm On May 26, 2022
The next few days will be a very crucial moment in the life of the All Progressives Congress, APC. It is crucial in the sense that the party is faced with a momentous challenge of choosing its presidential candidate. And in doing this, a great deal of wisdom and political need to be brought to bear.

In making its choice of a presidential candidate, APC should look out for the aspirant with unblemished pedigree and antecedents. For it to win the presidential election, the party should select the aspirant who is popular and nationally acceptable. APC should select the aspirant who truly understands Nigeria's problems and has shown, by words and deeds, that he has the capacity to address them. The party should select the candidate whose credibility has never been called into question. APC delegates should choose the aspirant whose intellectual and professional accomplishments are enviable. The party delegates should choose the aspirant who can stand shoulder to shoulder with other world leaders. APC should present to Nigerians, a candidate. whose goodwill will correct the bad image of Nigeria.

For the APC to win the 2023 presidential election, its presidential candidate must be one whose integrity remains intact, and one with a proven track record of excellence. These are the attributes Nigerians expect to see in a candidate who APC will present to them. Anything short of this will not be good enough for the party, and would harm the chances of the party.

Among the array of presidential aspirants in the APC, there is only one that has all these sterling qualities to his credit. That is the man the party should give to Nigerians, and he is Prof Yemi Osinbajo.

Osinbajo remains the best bet for the APC and the best choice for the delegates. It is a choice that will lead APC to victory. It is a choice that will restore the lost glory of Nigeria. The choice of Osinbajo is going to be a choice well made, and May 29 provides the APC with the golden opportunity of making this choice.

By all indices, the APC presidential cap fits Osinbajo. He should wear it, not just for the party, but for the millions of Nigerian youths whose entrepreneurial ingenuity he is committed to protecting, This quintessence of excellence should wear the cap for the poor Nigerians who have been benefitting and will continue to benefit from the social investment programme which he midwifed and was graciously considered for implementation by President Muhammadu Buhari. It is heartwarming to note that in his declaration speech, he promised to transform it into a full-scale social welfare scheme.

Osinbajo should be given the cap to wear for the IDPs in the north whom he would give a lifeline. The erudite scholar should wear it for the people of the southeast whom he is committed to addressing the issues that have led to the agitation in the region. APC should give Osinbajo the cap to wear for the farmers in the northeast and northcentral that will benefit from his promised agricultural revolution. This humble leader should wear the APC presidential cap for Nigerians whom his eventual emergence as president will guarantee their security through his determined efforts to overhaul and equip the security architecture. This teacher of teachers should wear the cap for the poor and helpless Nigerian students who spend more months at home than at schools as a result of constant labour disagreement. This friend of the downtrodden should wear the cap for the poor out-of-school children of the northeast who he is determined to take off the streets into classrooms.

Osinbajo is the only aspirant who truly appreciates the fears and expectations of the delegates. He understands and rewards loyalty. He will ensure that delegates who have contributed to his rise to power are duly rewarded. He is one aspirant who will make himself accessible to the delegates and party stakeholders to ensure a proper reward system for them. That's why a vote for Yemi Osinbajo is an investment that will yield long-term dividends.

Yemi Osinbajo is the right man for the job. With him as the face of the APC, victory is assured for the party. With him as Nigeria's President, the delegates are sure of being part of the administration. It behoves the leaders and delegates to take this opportunity and do what will bring immense benefits to them, their communities and Nigeria.

There is no better choice for the delegates than the choice of Yemi Osinbajo. The presidential cap fits him. The delegates should help him to wear it for their own benefit, and for the benefit of all.

Social investment scheme my foot! Man has been VP for good 7years, he and his boss's tenure has been regarded as one of the worst ever.
Achievements and performance is what qualifys you for a promotion not propose plans or made believe attributes. What has he achieved in 7years?
