Is Tambuwal Really Responsible For Atiku Win? by BlazinGlory40: 11:31am On May 30, 2022
So I pondered on this last night and then I asked myself what if Gov. Okowa had supported wike? What if Gov. Udom and Anyim had stepped down for wike the last minute? Let’s not forget that Emeka Ihedioha from Imo state who is also a friend of Tambuwal gave imo delegates to Atiku as he is in control of PDP in the state. In the East, states like Abia, Anambra and Enugu votes for Wike. Ebonyi went for Anyim and Imo for Atiku.

Now let’s do the math. Delta had 25 national delegates and Imo had 27.

Recall that Atiku polled 371 votes and Wike polled 237. The total tally of Imo and Delta delegates is 52. If you subtract that number from that if Atiku it would be 319 and if you add to Wike it would be 289. Now if Udom had stepped down for Wike and told his delegates to vote for him, that would be 38 added to Wike’s tally. The new number would be 327.

From this, we can infer that it was not Tambuwal that cost Wike the ticket but his fellow southerners. Had Wike not been arrogant and abusive, maybe the outcome would be different today.
