madammmmmm don't bring sexism into this.this issue or situation has absolutely nothing to do with sexism so don't deviate from the issue.wrong is wrong irrespective of the gender doing it.stop justifying rubbish under the pretext of sexism.the girl was unnecessarily rude and that's being STUPID Because even if you are upset with your teacher, that was not the right way to display your displeasure.after the ceremony you could have confronted her respectfully and table your grievances logically.

Sadly, sexism is so ingrained in so many Nigerians, they don’t even notice it…smh
Of course, not necessarily their fault as much of Nigerian culture is inherently sexist (even misogynistic).

Most Nigerian teachers act this way which is very very bad now tell me if a student that has been frustrated to this extent how will that student shake those teachers in public if the need for such arises
this is where maturity and emotional intelligence comes in.choose your battles wisely and avoid fighting with some people (e.g your teachers) despite the provocation it's unnecessary.humility, tact and wisdom always wins.

In life you have to take some shiii to get to where you are going but that girl has created unnecessary and avoidable battles for herself just because she didn't know how to choose her battles

It’s not Nigeria…

School “recommendation” in the US are your grades.
While the law courts will reward her handsomely if denied her transcript.

well except that but even if it's not nigeria her uncouth attitude Will make a mess of her certificate Because what's the use of a certificate when the owner has an unattractive and irritating attitude

Typical backward Nigerian mentality… grin

Thinking that “a husband” is the greatest accomplishment for females…
Meanwhile, hopefully enlightened folks (including in-laws) see someone who won’t stand for crap.
>
of course a husband is not any greatest achievement however it's One of the boxes a woman must tick as far as she's in Africa

Secondly not that in-laws opinion really matters but anytime any issue arises in that family, that girl's action will always be a reference point albeit negatively.e.g don't be like Tayo.etc

You dare not try this with Mr Bizzo in LASMOCK badagry...

Those who attended the school in the late 90s to early 2000s should know him...

Na to wipe am lab hose for back be that grin
the Mr bizzo; did he find a new law that govern his field? did he clearly and fully advance his field of study in an internationally acclaimed manner, did win any multi million dollar grant?
if your answer is no to all my questions, then he's a typical Nigerian bully lecturer.

She can get a recommendation from another teacher
Except she is a very shitty person
There is always that one person that will give you tht recommendation letter

lol recommendation letter be like akara? It's an official document so they'll require a letter headed paper and a school you didn't go cannot give you such letter headed paper

This is the shocking moment a lady ignored congratulatory hand shake from her teachers as she walked across the podium to receive her certificate. This must be for reasons best known to her as she may have gone through hell on earth in the hands of the teachers.
Some of the teachers were visibly shocked at her behaviour but went on to award her certificate.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4J1lHB6Fvg
irrespective of any reason, this is totally rude of her!

Who else uses Oraimo products here?

If you don’t know the backstory, why are you so sure it’ll be a “negative” reference point?
They’re Africans who are enlightened enough (and not sexist) and, depending on the circumstances, could use it as a “positive” reference!

Even without the backstory Respect has to be EARNED, not bestowed…
But like the commenter, it’s not Nigeria where the opposite is often the case. SMH
