Eguns are not Yorubas, their tribe is Egun. Majority of them were grouped with Cotonou at the Berlin Conference, for those who know about the conference.

A percentage of them are in Badagary in the most undeveloped part of Lagos. Because of their little or no education, they erroneously believe that Lagos belongs to them by mistskening Badagary for Lagos.
