In Nigeia, Party Primary Elections is purely business not for the masses.

Delegates are selected by Governors and given to loyalists as compensation for being loyal to the State party leadership. In some States, once you are selected as a national delegate, you will be told to forget any other political ambition within the state because you have been settled.

Settled in the sense that they expect that you will use your delegate status or vote to make money for yourself and that's why delegates usually go with the highest bidder and not to their closest brother.

You commented as if the governors or the stakeholders who nominated the delegates don't have their own personal interests in the individual candidate that they want their delegates to vote for. Lol
No governor would intentionally send delegates to go and vote for the highest bidder or whoever they like when the governors have their preferred candidates. What normally happens is that some delegates who are greedy usually stop taking instructions from their handlers and would go for the highest bidders against the wish of the people who nominated them.
