I suspect he picked Okowa because of the funds he brings to the table via the states coffers. Delta state like Rivers is quite flush with cash due to its oil derivation.

Truth be told though, the PDP should have considered the many sacrifices Wike had made for the party to remain standing...He did'nt help his case though with his utterances and lack of tact which fetched him many enemies...
