Why do we hate each other and yet we live together. The main players in the civil war, wasn't between the Yoruba's and the Igbos, rather it was focused more on the north and eastern Nigeria. How come an average Yoruba man doesn't see anything good in the Igbo and vice versa. A Yoruba person is the most accommodating of all tribes, An Igbo person likewise. he treats a stranger better than he will even treat his own brother. There is nothing that can make a Yoruba or Igbo person pick an knife and Kill his fellow human over a cow or an insult to his prophet. Both tribes have highly educated members, both tribes have Christians, Muslims and traditional worshippers alike, both tribes live amongst each other peacefully in most cases. My village market in the south east is filled with Yoruba people who have settled there , earning a living. Lagos, like many other south Western states are filled with Igbo people living and Doing business. Where did this hatred come from that we cant see eye to eye. The North whom we both have little in common with laugh in glee as we fight and bicker daily.

Obasanjo a Yoruba man ruled for 8years, the south west isn't El Dorado, Osibanjo has been in Government for 7+years and even his home state isn't el Dorado. What is this desire for your tribes man to lead even when it doesn't benefit your region, when the candidate or party he/she belongs to is bad. A northerner is currently ruling and the north is in shambles. People must learn to look beyond tribe and hatred that have no basis. There is no basis for the animosity that exists between the Igbo and the Yoruba. That disunity has allowed the real enemy of Nigeria to strive. They love the division and are already planning to exploit it for their benefit.

If peter Obi doesn't win the presidency, It will surely go to the north. The north know this and they like this, no wonder they are trying to woo Osibanjo to the NNPP to further water down Yoruba votes for Tinubu. This will ease the path for Atiku in the belief of many. The north always follows their own at least for the most part.

Power should have come to the south, and for equity sake , power should have been micro-zoned to the south east. when power rotates back to the north, it should nominally go to the north central or north east. That's the method that ensures equity in the country, even though it is unconstitutional, it is equitable in a multi-cultural and multi-religious country. The Yoruba's didn't honor that equitable agreement and now we have the highest level of electoral uncertainty in the history of modern Nigeria.

This Hatred must stop. Most of us (45 years and below) didn't witness the war. It is time to forget about the ills of the past and face a united future. The south should care for its self in Nigeria, just as the north does. There cannot be a united south if one part of the south is trying to stifle others because they feel they can play the game better. The Yoruba might be better political players than the Igbos, but that means nothing to the north. They will continue to use one group to fight the others, so as to further the northern agenda of ruling the country unending.

I am for Peter Obi (100%). Peter obi is the choice of the youths and progressives'. it is only coincidental that he is an Igbo man. Many who follow him today are not doing so because he is Igbo. the are doing so in spite of him being Igbo. we are about to head into an uncertain poll for all candidates. If the south doesn't unite behind a candidate , which in this case should be Peter Obi, for sake of equity and being what the people want. The south will lose out again to the north and come 2031, the west and east will still be at each other's throat. The south south will also join the party and the north will simply win again.

Tinubu hoped to be a president, however the events of the days have proven that he should remain a Kingmaker. He should have moved for Osinbajo to be the flagbearer, but since that didn't happen. He should join hands and make PETER GREGORY OBI the next president of Nigeria.

Even I have been guilty of promoting Disunity. We all should be ashamed of our roles in the south.
I Submit.

Funny enough the successful ones are doing their things together and growing businesses in partnership.
Na the poor ones with hate filled souls and paid sycophants dey make noise for our ear all the time .

Even tinubu and peter obi have igbos and yorubas as close confidants in their day to day engagements.

Yoruba's can't hate Igbo people and still be accommodating them..

Igbo's don't only have issue with Yoruba's but all other tribes in Nigeria. Abi is Buhari a Yoruba? Are Ghanaians Yoruba? Malaysia? SA?

We have over 200 tribes in Nigeria but na only Igbo dey attack and accuse others as if they are holy.

You can't be pointing fingers on others for hating you without checking yourself
