A lot of people have not be observing Ekweremmadu's case carefully and the last may not have been heard about it.
Let me begin from the Genesis.

Nnamdi Kanu a British national and Biafran activist, was branded a terrorist, an action the UK and the rest of the international community do not recognise.

In june 2021, he was taken from a country Nigeria has refused to disclose, but Kenya and UK have both denied consent and instead acknowledged his arrest as illegal. He has been on trial since then allegedly under inhuman conditions. There have been questions and pressure from the UK to Nigeria to disclose the nature of his arrest to no avail. Infact, it became so serious that the Bristish PM had to confront Buhari over it in Rwanda and Buhari had the audacity to tell him Kanu will not be granted bail. Calls for a political solution over the issue have also been rebuffed.

Similarly, Fifth term senator and former deputy senate president Ike Ekweremmadu was arrested in the UK over allegations of organ harvesting. Before we knew about, he was already in court and DENIED BAIL. News of his arrest quickly spread in the British media and globally. A quick investigation from relevant agencies' database shows the boy is infact 21 and not a minor. The Nigerian immigration service has also officially defended the passport. Infact, it has been revealed Ekweremmadu duly notified the high commission about the donors travel. So why is UK pressing ahead with the case? The normal UK government i know would not even have charged him to court and subject him and the country to such embarrassment if they do not have something in mind. The FG may have smelt the coffee and have been following up the matter secretly. The matter is not serious enough to warrant effort the UK government is putting. On the other hand, If they pursue it diligently, Ekweremmadu won't likely go free because no Nigerian politician is innocent. Now that the senate is speaking of sending delegation to UK and using diplomatic pressure to release him (which is a political solution), Do you think the UK will yield to that without securing the release of their citizen (Nnamdi Kanu) who is also being held in Nigeria? is Nigeria willing to bear the embarrassment of ekweremmadu's trial?

Nnamdi Kanu's case is beyond your understanding and your assumption. Ekweremmadu's case has nothing to do with Kanu's own.

Both cases are still a minus for the South East. If Ekweremadu were a Northern "juicy" senator in the eyes of the Federal Government, it might have been a big deal. It's left for your people to pray that your politicians don't Keep getting schemed out of the affairs of this country.

Which ever way you look at it, He was arrested as a senior figure in Nigeria government not southeast government. He traveled with Nigerian and not southeast passport. Even among the Igbos, he can be used to show how bad example one nigerianist Igbos are and be used to promote Biafra. Even the FG knows it sets a bad precedence, so let's not pretend otherwise.

Nobody gives a fvck about Nnamdi Kanu and Ekweremadu. Both are already having their days in court. Judgements will be handed out to both of them at the end of the judicial process.
