Bello Yakubu, a member of the house of representatives, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking with journalists on Monday in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi capital, the lawmaker representing Birnin Kebbi/Kalgo/Bunza federal constituency said he rejoined the APC following calls by his supporters.

The lawmaker had defected to the PDP in late March.

“APC has been my party, and I came to realise that politics in our dear state is all about development,” he said.


“People have been calling me, pleading with me to rejoin the party to continue with the development we have started witnessing in the state, hence my decision to rejoin the party.”

The legislator described Atiku Bagudu, governor of Kebbi, as “a humble person and a leader who deserves to be supported by all and at all times”.

“In 2019, if you could recall, all the political bigwigs in the state were in APC because of his charisma and manner in dealing with people,” he added.


In May, Bello lost his bid to seek re-election into the house of representatives after Mohammed Abba-Bello, son of Bello Mohammed-Haliru, former PDP national chairman, won the PDP ticket.

The lawmaker, who was elected on the platform of the APC in 2019, defected to the PDP in March after a disagreement with some members of the APC in the state.

Tinubu and Atiku were with Abiola back in the early 90ies. Today Abiola is dead and gone and all these thieves continue to dominate the lives of the future of this country. Tinubu has stolen 60 percent of Lagos from Lagosians. His daughters and sons continue to take lagos as if it belongs to them.

Tinubu runs a logistic company that makes millions of dollars each day from importation of goods to Nigeria. Such a man cannot advocate for "made in Nigeria". He is a thief making the lives of Millions of Nigerians miserable. A sick and old drug Lord cannot represent vibrant and intelligent Nigerians.

Atiku runs the biggest importation of generators in Nigeria. Such a man cannot give us power. They claim to know the answer to all our problems but from the time that Davido was born, they have been in power and have done nothing about our problems. And, they will never do it. The problem with these men is the long list of loyalists surrounding them. They do not have the mandate of the people. They are backed by thieves and pathological embezzlers.

Can these men let us choose who we want? Imagine how Osinbajo was bullied out of the race. if they can do that to the vice president of this country, what really are we?

We need a fresh face and a new name. We are simply tired of their structure. Let us have the one who is willing to listen to the people. Let us have a change. The suffering is too much. The death is too much. Buhari is arming terrorists in Niger with SUV with our money for attacks and bloodshed by the time he leaves power. he is arming those boko haram again. Shettima has been supplying them weapons and hopes to do that with Tinubu. imagine who Tinubu picked as a running mate. A man arming mass murderers. No respect for the lives of the victims, no respect for Nigerians.
