Okay... Awolowo was stoned, but why was Obasanjo, Yemi Osinbajo and some other Yorubas who had visited—and have been visiting—Southeast not stoned or even booed, but welcomed with cheers? Awolowo in those times came off to the Igbos as being an enemy. And you could not blame them. Somehow, Awo seemed to have been licking the poo off the arses of Fulanis, and it didn't quite sit so well with the republican-thinking Igbos. Pa. Adebanjo had claimed in the article that Awolowo had the interest of Igbos at heart, but how could it be proven? Given that Awo was hardly trustworthy, neither did he openly defend their interest. 6 Likes |

You need to read the full story to see how childish the whole story sounded. He was stoned during campaign. No other human being in that campaign ground noticed it? As in the stoner acted like an assassin? And the stone was stopped by Awolowo's metal hat? The kind fairy tales people tell nowadays to sell their story is becoming too funny and illogical. I know the Afenifere man was talking about how and why he is supporting Peter Obi this coming election, but he can do so without the story.
