...Urges Aggrieved Partymen To Bury Personal Interests

Special Assistant on Media to Governor Udom Emmanuel, Mr. Uko Umoh, has expressed delight on the choice of Senator Akon Eyakenyi, as the running mate to the PDP governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, disclosing that the joint ticket will guarantee the sustenance of the enviable legacies of Governor Emmanuel anchored on industrialization, peace, security and good governance.


According to him, Senator Eyakenyi's choice as running mate to Pastor Umo Eno, was a good omen and a pointer to the fact that, the next administration will further involve massive women in governance.


Uko Umoh, popularly called 'Uko Biafra,' because of his zeal for good causes, dropped the hint on Thursday, while exchanging views with selected journalists in Uyo, the State capital.


He specifically lauded the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, for his effective leadership style which he (Uko) said was responsible for the absolute peace citizens and residents were enjoying in Akwa Ibom since 2015 when he became the State's Chief Executive.


Uko, promised to rally his Etinan people to vote for entire candidates of PDP, even as he expressed optimism that the entire State will queue behind Pastor Umo Eno as well as other candidates of his party and give them maximum support in the election.


The Etinan born successful businessman reasoned that, Pastor Umo Eno, as a humble, peaceful, visionary, God fearing and an entrepreneurial intellectual, will sustain the worthy legacies of the current administration, emphasizing that Governor Emmanuel has done a lot to entrench peace and good governance in the State, in spite of the nation’s economic, security and public health challenges.


“His Excellency the governor has proven to the naysayers and doubting Thomases that performance in spite of harsh economic challenges is not rocket science. Every right thinking Akwa Ibomite is deeply appreciative of the sacrifice and steadfastness of our governor in ensuring that our people, including those in the rural areas, enjoy peace and good governance in spite of the numerous challenges confronting our country. My people, you can take this to the bank, no other political party will go near the Hilltop Mansion because Governor Udom Emmanuel has sustained superior performance in this State.


“By the way, we all know that PDP is the only political party in the State. Since the return of democracy in 1999, which party has the winning streak in Akwa Ibom, is it not PDP?" he asked rhetorically. Continuing, Uko Eno said, "from Local Government Council to the House of Assembly elections, National Assembly, Governorship and Presidential elections, Akwa Ibom has been emerging victorious with 100 per cent in all elective positions.


“So, I am using this interaction to assure you guys that there is no other party in this State, forget about few individuals who are leaving the umbrella because I can tell you for free that they will all return by the time we replicate the victory in the forthcoming 2023 elections."


He boasted that, "PDP government has solved our problems and it will continue to solve our challenges in the near future with Pastor Umo Eno as Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi as Deputy Governor and all the candidates of PDP at the State and National Assemblies, no one has ever changed the winning team. PDP is that winning team and Akwa Ibom people are satisfied with their winnings."


Uko Umoh used the occasion and appealed to those who are still aggrieved over the just concluded PDP primaries in the State to bury their differences and personal interests but join hands with the winners and Governor Udom Emmanuel to move the State forward.

Yeah, on behalf of all of us. . .we demand to know, cos I don't get it, the PDP Guber candidate, Pastor Umo Eno is facing a very damning evidences on his WAEC Certificates allegedly forged in court, but myopic &sycophantic people still believe he will get outta of it &still emerge winner of next election in AKS. We all watching. . .
