Good. Teach the history of the Nigerian civil war. It will help those deluded yoruba and northerners to understand what happened in Nigerian history and how badly they have behaved ever since.

Would help to stop the unwarranted bias, hatred and marginalisation of ndi igbo and minorities.

The war of guns ended in 1970, yet they continue to wage civil wars of hate, marginalisation, humiliation, threats and wickedness against the igbos and minority tribes in Nigeria.

Maybe you also need to a refresher course on the people that executed the Jan 15, 1966 coup, there you would find your answer as to why the Northerners are so weary of the Igbos and how the Yoruba's have always stayed neutral.
Oh really. Who executed the Jan 15 coup. Name them. Tell us their tribes. Maybe you can have your own history class here early.

Very good directive and your Biafra governors are afraid to re-introduce it, but the same Yoruba people you hate so much have done the needful. Remember the true history did not record that Awolowo betrayed Biafra , the true history as recorded was that Nnamdi Azikiwe won election in Yoruba land, Awolowo won some and came second in Nigeria and Fulani man came third without clearcut majority . Awolowo had agreement with Zik to form an alliance but, it was disheartening to hear that Zik formed alliance with the party that took third position .
History also recorded that some of your overzealous brothers killed some prominent Northerners during first coupe de tat and forcefully took over governance.
History also told us how sir C . Ojukwu, the father of Colonel Odumegwu sponsored coups before he died .
We also read how ibos wanted to perpetually dominate governance and killing Hausa, Yoruba officers to favour your tribal jingoism alone.
True history is well documented and not, Awolowo cut food supply fabbles your dubious brothers made you to believe.
Thank you.

true he did that. There are unfortunate events that led to the bolded. Read up about it. Its all part of the history we all should learn. Awolowo was spared, but you point at zik. The person you should have asked why he wasn't killed (which was a big error in the coup), you didn't ask. Now this and many more are reasons you need the lessons.

How did ironsi who wasn't in Nigeria come back to head the army. He wasn't the only general at the time. Research the name of the second person, he was in Nigeria, why didn't he take over.

Read up the book why we struck, it is a good book by the yoruba coup plotter amongst them, you will understand why they struck and why ironsi didn't try them.

its a chance for igbos to also learn about the treachery of azikiwe, but also the negative role and betrayal awolowo played during the civil war. Maybe that will finally end the war being fought against the igbos.

On the war end. Read good books and understand why weapons were carried at the time to defend themselves. Attend the classes.
Come to Ibadan, let me teach you what your parents hid away from you about the civil war.
I hate grown men with victim mentality, it pisses my soul. Unfortunately your opening post on this thread is an indicator you are a person riddled with victim mentality.

About the civil war, I hope you learnt about the countless massacres by the Biafran Army on the minorities they suspect as " saboteurs", I know igbos won't talk more about that because it doesn't fit into their ideology of claiming victim.

It will interest you to note that history recorded it that. Top Biafran army officers were feeding fat and making business from food supplied while innocent people were famished and were exterminated by hunger caused by senior Biafra soldiers.
When rations were not forthcoming, soldiers became weak out of starvation, things began to fall apart and the center could no longer hold .
It is a treacherous omen for you to lead innocent people to war and abandoned them and flew away to Ivory Coast.
Who now betray his people between Awo and Odumegwu ?

get informed. We are not just in lagos, we are everywhere in the globe. Our natural way of life has made it so. Due to poor education, you classify people from other tribes as igbos when you see them in lagos.

Igbos have bad leaders at present, history doesn't need to teach that, however a region that faced an international onslaught of destruction with no rebuild will be undeveloped. Maybe that answers my questions on marginalisation and wickedness.

Below is the picture of an Igbo woman with tribal marks all over her face, am glad they are reintroducing history, at least that will teach u a lot about ur ancestors who's history has been lost to igbo people, we still have them in our archives and will be glad to open ur flat heads and shove them inside

They didn't kill Awo because he was in prison at that time. If he was out, they would have killed him.

The Igbo Coup plotters killed leaders from the North, West, Midwest but spared leaders from the East. They didn't kill Azikiwe and Nwafor Orizu.

They brought Ironsi to right wrongs, the fool started entrenching igbo supremacy. Why did he refuse to try the coup plotters? Why did he protect the coup plotters by moving them to Owerri?

But you now have ignorant people absolving Igbos of blame in the events leading to the war.

fact. That is true. This will help the biafra agitators learn also why they lost the war and how fantastic a biafra that once was a nation, really played out against fellow igbos and minorities.

On who betrayed between awo and ojukwu it isn't a contest. Arguments can be made for both depending on context and who you ask.

wrong. Awolowo could have been gotten if they wanted. They spared him for a reason I can't mention here. The same reason was why they spared azikiwe. However for the other person you mentioned. That was the biggest gaffe and why it was understandable the north felt a betrayal and igbo agenda in the coup. However there was a reason it happened
Go and research about it

The 2 names I omitted are Major Adewale Ademoyega and Major Timothy Onwuatuegwu. They later joined in the plot but we're not the original consipators.

I'm not sure what you mean by "first victim". A large number of high ranking civilian and military personnel were killed majority of whom were Hausa and Yoruba.

After the coup, General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi took over power as the Head of State.

Not only that, he introduced the Unification decree.

Thank God history classes are back. Hopefully the next generation of Igbos won't be as daft as the current generation.

I might misplace you in ibadan. On your second paragraph that is very true. It happened. It will be an eye opener for the biafran agitators who assume biafra was a utopia when it existed. It wasn't. It will never be based on the manner it is pursued. However it was never an igbo coup. Even after everything, why has the civil war refused to end, even for people like you that your mother wasn't born during the war.
