Crime doesn't pay

It's very true that there is no justification for doing crime. But do we think that many of these Nigerians doing crime abroad would have been there if things are working in Nigeria?

Economic development of a nation can help to reduce many forms of crime. A man that can earn a good living working in Nigeria will find it hard getting attracted to pushing drugs in Cambodia.

Until we get Nigeria working, forget it, more bad news will come. And if we think that the old stock of politicians that got Nigeria to the current state are here to help us, we lie.

The only thing pushing Nigerian male adults to crime is the poor economic conditions of the country. The government doesn’t give an eff. All the politicians are looting and embezzling monies meant to promote better living conditions, but we are too afraid to talk about it or fight for our rights. Be wise in 2023 and give a better candidate a chance.

The Two guys are definitely Igbos, they just took English names to fool people. Even here they have saturated this country with counterfeit and substandard drugs. It got worse after the Covid with Onitsha as the Counterfeit drugs capital of the world. They have beaten NAFDAC hands down that even counterfeit drugs carry NAFDAC numbers.

This is a very stale and ignorant excuse.

The economic situation isn't the reason why people who chose to live life on the fast lane to reap where they haven't sown and destroying lives do it.

If your excuse above was true and the economic situation in Nigeria was bad, perhaps, the situation is worse in Cambodia.

Now, how about the ones committing the same crimes in countries like the US, EU, and other countries with job opportunities to earn legally.

There is no excuse good enough to justify crime. It is pure greed and the need to acquire what one doesn't deserve.

You threw away a clear submission I made about having no justification for crime. You also threw away the clear indication that my submission talked about many cases and not all cases.

Spin it however you want, economic prosperity will reduce crimes like these. A man who isn't sure of his next meal can easily be attracted to crime.

We should be condemning and discouraging crimes anywhere and everywhere and quit trying to make excuses for them.

Anyone who is bent on committing crime by being lazy and mistaking it for been smart or sharp will do so irrespective of the economy of wherever he/she finds himself.

Unemployment and the sorry economy of Nigeria aren't the sole reason why we have people who have allowed greed and hunger for an undeserving and unmerited highlife to eat so deep into them that it has now become fashionable to mock, disrespect and laugh at hardworking and legitimate hustlers.

Peace
