1979 They said "Igbos didn't vote for Awolowo", I asked, "did we vote for Azikiwe"? There were 5 dominant candidates, and few had more than 5% outside their region? Bar Lagos, Azikiwe hardly got 2% of total votes in the Old Oyo, Old Kwara, Old Ondo, and Ogun states combined!!! 1993 Abiola got an average of 44% ≈ in all southeastern states and even won Anambra state; almost won Enugu. Igbos voted for MKO! 1999 Igbos voted Obasanjo, we voted Falae! P.S. That aside, are we supposed to continue in the same primordial mindset of 43 years ago in 2023, in-lieu of issues based decisions?! Are we supposed to vote old sick men with corruption and filthy baggage after 8 years of a sick, old & incompetent Buhari? Another ailing-London-president? Atiku wants another 8 years of Fulani Muslim rule after 8 years of Buhari (a Fulani Muslim) . . . but he call himself "the unifier", can there be unity & progress without justice & equity? Tinubu would do anything to be president despite his obviously failing health -- it must be his turn even after the southwest have been president and vice president for 16 years! He doesn't mind picking an extremist Muslim (Muslim-Muslim ticket) with pending EFCC cases as vice in a religiously plural country of 200 million. Leaving us potentially exposed to having a speculated Boko Haram patron as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
