Lol. It will definitely happen if Atiku wins. A northerner is still president and another wants to complete it to 16 years..story..unifier indeed. That’s the easiest way to break up Nigeria into pre 1914 amalgamation status of north and south

Ibos should be mindful... those kicking against Obi are doing so because all they complained about will be history and there won't be need for agitations and clamourings... this is a business stopper for them. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

The lgbos and Yorubas are the people that allowed the nonsense of the caliphate agenda (Islamisation of Nigeria) to go on in Nigeria.
The day the two tribes joins hands and say NO, OUR MUMU DO DO.
all these nonsense go just end.
Even the Yoruba brand of Islam will be accepted by some Ndigbo in a country where there is no nepotism and tribalism.

......but they are too suspicious of each other.

How the two largest tribes in Africa allowed themselves to held down by the caliphate in the name of 'one Nigeria' is something I will never understand

Lots of population of the northern do not have formal education... that can really crush the nation if its stands alone...

But it's not an excuse for other region wanting to go
Re: This Picture Is The Only Thing The North Truly Fears by Vote4Obi: 9:09am On Aug 31, 2022
If Northern leaders are wise, they should back Obi and ensure he wins. That's the only panacea to the peace and progress of Nigeria. Obi will not only unite the country, he will also usher in a new hope, passion and fate in the country. Remember that his supporters are mainly the youths, this demography have almost lost faith in this country completely, the endsars protests almost snowballed into massive conflagration that would have consumed Nigeria. Another one would likely be more damaging and probably irreversible. If by ommision or commition Obi is rigged out, it would have a devastating effect and Nigeria may never recover from it.

Allowing another Northerner or even another Muslim who is paired with a Muslim to succeed Buhari would result in instability. Coupled with the economic crises, would Nigeria not descend to chaos and anarchy?

This is probably Nigeria's last chance to reset itself on the path of growth and stability. I wouldn't have given a hoot but I believe that a united and prosperous Nigeria will do Africa and Blacks globally a world of good.

Northern Nigeria has every reason to be scared should Nigeria breakup. There is probably no country in the world that has the population of Northern Nigeria yet landlocked with majority of them uneducated. Their huge population would be a curse because they're mostly uneducated and unproductive. Hundreds of thousands of Northern Nigerians would besiege Southern Nigeria as refugees running away from hunger and crises.

Northern Nigeria would be more populous than Ethiopia yet that country is not too far from the coast relative to Northern Nigeria. Boko Haram would overrun North once Nigeria breaks up. They would establish the worse form of Islamic doctrine that would lead to starvation and deaths. They would be forced to pay in order to transport goods to ports in Southern Nigeria and also pay fees for using the ports which would make everything expensive for them.

The break up of Nigeria is a nightmare they would never want to experience.

Go and count the number of ibos in the north

There are many Igbos in the North but their numbers have reduced relative to what it used to be while the number of Northerners in the East have grown astronomically. Should Igbos leave North en mass, it would affect the East briefly due to the cost of resettlement. However, within a year or two, they would be fully integrated. The large Igbo diaspora community and their natural communal way of life would ensure that.

However, the adverse effects on the North would linger for years. Most Igbos in the North are relatively comfortable. They're mostly into business, trade, academia, hospitals, artisans like mechanic etc. Go to towns and villages in the North, they own distribution channels for vital goods like drugs, building materials, motor spare parts etc. They contribute a lot to the local economy and if they leave at once, the economy would be hit badly.

The North suffer beyond measure should Nigeria breakup yet they're so arrogant and have a superior attitude to Southerners.

Then we should all support his candidacy don't you think?

I think a lot of Nigerians want what you stated to happen, so why hold back?

Initially I was against Peter Obi's candidiacy because it jeaopardises our BIAFRAN struggles. Nontheless, with or without Obi, Biafra is a spirit

I personally prefer Atiku wins so that our BIAFRAN territories would be gallantly guarded. No one is buying into the lies of propagandists against ESN. They're idiots. All of them

The fact that you said the north will suffer beyond measure flaws all your one way analysis.

The north will suffer but the east will not suffer

So funny

Well

It's not still late, start the project of Aliya for igbos from everywhere in other parts of nigeria to the east, after this is completed let ipob succession kick start

I analyzed a worse case scenario to you but you're allowing emotions to becloud reasoning.

Nigeria's breakup will affect Nigerians differently but the North would be badly hit. The factors are:

1. A large population that is mostly uneducated and unproductive.

2. Being landlocked and far from the coast.

3. Extreme poverty affecting over 90% of the population.

4. Radical and destructive islam that is anti-progress.

5. A laid-back and docile population.

Contrast that to Southern Nigeria that has:

1. Large diaspora population with huge remittances.

2. Largely educated population.

3. Access to coast.

4. Abundant oil and gas resources.

5. A more resourceful and productive population.

Since 1914, Southern Nigeria has been subsidizing Northern Nigeria. It has even gotten worse in recent years. If you're smart you will pray that Nigeria remains one otherwise your region will become the world's poorest and most miserable.
