U don't mean it
Well I partially agree with u

What is there to DISagree with? I'm in the U.S.

I see these little unhealthy fat azz kids everyday.

They're miniature heart attack victims waiting to happen.

If they were to physically play a game of football they'd

be dead from exhaustion before the game ended.

@ Original post,

Why? Hmmm,  a few answers, here,

a) Parents's ideas of fun for their kids no longer include physical exercise these days, how many parents buy balls for their sons nowadays?
Back in the days, the dude with the ball had the most friends. cool

b) Safety just isn't what it was back when some of us were kids. How many crazy okada riders were on the loose in the eighties? I have to sympathise
    with parents on that one.

c) Even though Footballer role models abound, nowadays, how many schools (especially primary schools) REALLY encourage football among pupils?

d) How many primary schools even HAVE football fields nowadays? more like "fully equipped computer labs" (I'm not saying that's bad, though)

Kids aren't really given much of a choice any more. They simply soak up what they have around them. I think this is bad for our future, health wise.

why start from the children when d main cause are the parents. parents nowadays are quite different from those then. lets face the fact, the only time some of these parents nowadays see their neighbor on the driveway when they leaving for work. they are equally glued to their laptops and dstvs too. so the whole system has been changed by technology
abi u go compare our parents then dat all they do after coming back from work then is sit outside to get fresh air since there was no air conditioners then( the available ones unaffordable for an average man) tv stations were really messed up with lil boring programs and the most annoying part is they only start transmission by 4pm, abeg free the kids jor

"^^ Yes--I did play Mummy and Daddy.

Kids nowadays are just--- . I see them working around with Iphones and diff. Gadgets and I go "Wow--things have really changed".  What did I have when I was a kid? NOTHING---a play/toy phone."

I didn't even have a play/toy phone. I used to have that GSM orange and blackberry black currant juice. After drinking the juice, I'll then take the empty GSM container and start to play with it, old times  grin
