It used to be very close to the road for those old enough to know the period I am referring to.
LASU gate was so close that you can trek from that round about to the LASU gate entrance in about 3 minutes
I used to do the rounds then when visiting to consider to take up my admission in LASU then so I still remember those years ago

In my time, there was no gate on Igando side. Only the main gate towards Okoko exists and datsall( that is the gate I was searching for in the picture) so I sincerely have no idea about that Igando gate. The only gate before the long stretch of the LASU fence then was the Iba Housing estate gate so we always have to travel all the way down to iyana Iba roundabout and trek to the lasu gate
