S'Africa PDP Chapter Chairman, Hon Ekos Akpokabayen, Meet Delta State PDP Gubernatorial Candidate, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori

It was a homecoming session for the Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, South Africa Chapter, Hon Ekos Akpokabayen on Tuesday as he stormed Delta State on a courtesy visit to Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Gubernatorial Candidate of PDP and Speaker of the State House of Assembly.

The meeting with Rt Hon. Oborevwori was fruitful as Akpokabayen, who incidentally hails from Delta state, and his team pledged support to Sheriff's candidature ahead of the 2023 election in the state, promising logistical and technological support to ensure PDP succeed in the State.

The South African PDP leader equally lauded the excellent manner Rt Hon Sheriff had led the legislative arm of Delta State, which has translated into massive development across every sector of the state. He expressed confidence in the political popularity of Rt. Hon Sheriff and also his ability to consolidate on the gains made by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa when elected as Governor of the state in 2023.

Hon Akpokabayen, who has been doing so much in leading the South Africa PDP Chapter, also reiterated the unwavering support of South Africans and the entire diaspora to the aspiration of Atiku Abubakar and Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as PDP Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates respectively for the 2023 contest.

At the meeting, Rt Hon Oborevwori appreciated his guest - who incidentally is a notable son of Delta State.

Like they say, every politics is local, Hon Akpokabayen has displayed this by ensuring that he contributes his quota in the development of the politics of Delta State even while he meets his responsibility as the PDP Leader in South Africa.

It may be recalled that in the month of July, Hon Ekos Akpokabayen led delegation from South Africa to interact with the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos State, Jandor, a member of Atiku Abubakar Campaign, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi and a representative of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
