Fellow Africans,

This animal that joined the parade is an official mascot for the British military. It has a rank in the military. It can be promoted or demoted when necessary. It earns salaries, more than some humans. There are some other regimental pets that are kept by the military which are not official mascots. This animal was not meant for sacrifice for the coronation of King Charles III.

Looked up info about the said Goat
William "Billy" Windsor I is a cashmere goat who served as a Lance Corporal in the 1st Battalion, the Royal Welsh, an infantry battalion of the British Army. Wikipedia
Born: 2000 (age 22 years), ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, Whipsnade, United Kingdom
Rank: Lance corporal
Retirement: Whipsnade Zoo
Unit: 1st Battalion, the Royal Welsh
Nickname(s): Billy
Service number: 25232301
Service/branch: British Army

Hence, if we are looking to make a case for animal sacrifices in some parts of Africa, let us look somewhere else.

T for tenks.

Okay bye

That was the nonsense the British sold to us and we chose to adopt that form of stupidity just to please them. But in reality it was never like that . No sane Nigerian will happily promote the intrest of an animal while human beings languish

Got demoted in 2006 but was later reinstated
Many goats have served with distinction within the British Army, there have been a few others with a checkered past. There was a royal goat that was charged with prostitution in the late 19th century after being offered up for stud services, though the charges were eventually lowered to “disrespect of an officer.” Another royal earned the nickname “the rebel” after the goat headbutted a colonel bent over adjusting his trousers — catching him full in the rear, as it were — “knocking him over and blacking both his eyes.” For this act, the goat was charged with a “disgraceful act of insubordination.” grin grin

Even the human soldiers in the Army weren't paid salaries in the old African Kingdoms ,they were compensated with slaves and certain privileges like spoils of wars, chieftaincies, social ranks in the Kingdoms, Farms etc
