Tecnimont, a subsidiary of Italy’s Maire Tecnimont, was awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth £1.08bn ($1.5bn) for full rehabilitation of the refinery complex in April 2021.

Tecnimont and Tecnimont Nigeria, two subsidiaries of Maire Tecnimont, were also awarded a contract worth £38m ($50m) for phase one of the refinery in March 2019. The contractual scope included integrity check and equipment inspections of the Port Harcourt refinery complex as part of the preparation for the rehabilitation works.

Tecnimont is the company doing the rehab. Google them. They actually seem like the real deal. This is not emeka offor and chrome wetin call

Embezzled funds by the Minister of petroleum, cabal and NNPC management. When I heartd the minster of state for petroleum saying the government is going to revamp the moribund PH refinery with $150M, I simply shook my head in utter shock because it is just another corruption.

They are spending that much on refineries without showing anything for it. This money is just entering someone’s pocket. Corruption in Nigeria is deep all thanks to president fighting against it. undecided 2023 we have the chance to change these, hope we will do the needful for a better future.

The simple solution is remove subsidy, and by extension end the free money from the government, and those refineries will be working in minutes.

But because most people want ....

Remove subsidy completely. Yes, fuel will cost N300 and more, but at the end, the jokes won't scam us out of our money again.

What has been the advantage of Buhari in this whole petroleum sector handling. No working refinery. Subsidy going away due to mismanagement. Dangote building one at same time to show us it is possible. Gas prices up.

The man only supervised allocation of oil well to a secret group.
Dangote is obviously a big part of the cabal that wont let the refineries work for personal gains.

It is my Oga at the Top I blame ..assuming his refinery is already distributing products by now NNPCL would have been seeking to swap the moribund refinery for 1% share in his petrochemical firm, because I can bet the gbese this NNPCL refinery have incurred over the years and the cost to Turn it around might be more that their value.
