Happy 62nd Independence Day Anniversary Nigeria -

To my Foreign Friends, Independence Day is an official national holiday in Nigeria, celebrated on the 1st of October. It marks Nigeria's proclamation of 'independence' from British rule on 1 October 1960.

I deliberately quote the word 'independence' because our country is still under the chain of bondage to Western hegemony.

Having said this, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa with more than 200 million people. And Nigeria has great potential due to it huge resources but unfortunately the failed system and Nigerian extreme wicked and corrupt ruling elites has successfully destroyed the progress and development of the Nigerian state.

In all the indices of progress and development, Nigeria is either last in the world or second to the last. Nigeria has the largest crop of extremely corrupt ruling elites in the whole world. And our anti-corruption laws the most weakest in the world.

Today as I write ✍️ we have a genocidal criminal #Buhari in power who brutally murdered more than one thousand innocent Shia civilians in Zaria in December 2015 because of "road blockade". This bloodthirsty killer more wicked and evil than leader of BokoHaram.

As we remember what happened on 1st October, 1960, we should remember that Nigerian University Lecturers have not received salaries for 7 months. They have families and dependants. We should also remember the 90% of the Nigerian population that is under hunger. We should not forget the thousands of Nigerians under the captivity of the murderous terrorists and bandits.

We hope #Nigeria will be great!

A committee is put in place to decide who rules/leads a nation (INEC). Why isn't there one to constantly question the presidency and its helpers - the governors on the promises being made during campaigns, a body to keep them in proper check. Like the Chinese kill a corrupt politician when found guilty. Indeed gruesome, but 9ja will not be better without strong policies that actually work.
