He has an obligation to give enormously, back to charity. The money he ends is taxpayer's and unless that happens, we will have this occurring over and over and over again.

Guy, you must be the one under a form of illusion. Woodcook is right. Mikel gets paid handsomely for any match he plays for Nigeria. Even Civil servants including policemen who are daily exposed to risk don't get paid as much in a year as what Mikel earns playing just one match for Nigeria. When the players don't get paid, they put up all kinds of attitude including shunning subsequent matches meanwhile NIPOST Pensioneers are being owed for 76months!

Maybe you need to check the meaning of service again.

The above quote shows symptoms of entitlement mentality coupled with a serious poverty mindset. Mikel Obi developed his talent and worked hard to make it. He doesn't "owe" anything to anybody, least of all people looking for an excuse to enter the pockets of productive people. If he feels obliged to give to charity, then all well and good. Owe ko, Owe (proverb) ni. Better go do your own hustle, then you can dump it all on charity and hungry people who want to eat, but not do anything.

Mikel abeg pay the kidnappers if they ask for ransom o! And those guys who say na man u fans kidnap in papa, lmao!

Shei!! Guys just like bashing one another.

Kidnapping cannot be justified in anyway. Right! They need money but they went for the wrong target. Anybody that uses is God given gift to achieve success worths living in that path. However, those that cornered success at the back door. e.g politicians that still have their Mamas, Papas, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins even domestic animals because some of them take care of these animals than people they govern. So enough ransom to go round. Why going for ordinary citizen who has also struggle to find his way out of the darkness created by this lunatic who called themselves leaders?

The only people serving our country who are in a position to make such comment are teachers, few honest police officers who day and night put their lives on the line and the military despite being paid peanut they serve this nation more than any sect of people, name it;the  civil war, Liberia, Mogadishu, Sudan, Bakassi etc. When all these fat feed athletes start whining about serving the country it makes me want to throw up.
