In 2013, APC had just been formed with el Rufai as a member. He was not a Governor nor was he aspiring for anything as at 2013.

El Rufai was the Head of the monitoring team of the APC for the election that had Ngige as its candidate, and Obiano as the candidate of APGA that has Obi as the current Governor and Godfather.

Obi only displayed his bigotry for all to see.
