Arsenal's Gervinho Vs Newcastle's Barton: Who Is The Culprit by Ayenco09(m): 8:47pm On Aug 17, 2011
Hello Gunners fans and all good football analyst across the globe, it saddens me a lot after seeing Saturday's incident that involve Arsenal's new signing Gervinho and Newcastle's Ex-Convict Barton. It seems as if the barclay referees are slowing down, damaging, killing and moving our once good football to the backward direction, no wonder Spanish clubs gain more referee support than the English clubs due to their "more accurate decisions".

From what happened on Saturday, , given that:
1. Gerviho didn't dive because he was actually fouled inside the box and tripped down
2. It was Barton who first drag Gervinho by the collar which is far from normal way of helping Gervinho to his feet
3. Barton is neither a defender nor the goalkeeper that he should be trying to clear his line

On the other hand, Gervinho shouldn't have slapped Barton, but everybody is down to his/her own temperament.

Judging from these, in my own view, it should have been like these:
1. Gervinho should have been only booked for a Yellow Card alongside with Barton
2. If Gervinho is given a Red Card, then Barton should have been given a Red Card too since he was the first to make contact
3. Better still, Barton should have been given a Red Card with Gervinho only given a Yellow Card because Barton seems to be on a revenge mission.

Furthermore, i urge the FA to look into yesterday match report, because the Referee himself deserve a card for bad officiating.

Fellow readers, please leave us with your own just and unsentimental opinion.

Thanks.
