Second Niger Bridge Completed - Fashola by Kwanza: 11:20am On Oct 19, 2022

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, on Wednesday, confirmed that the construction of the 2nd Niger bridge is now completed and will soon be released to the public for use.

He stated this at an ongoing press briefing to present the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s (retd.) scorecard in Abuja.

According to him, the only factor delaying the commissioning of the road is the construction of the link road which the recent surge of flooding has impeded.

He said, “I can confirm that the second Niger bridge itself is finished. People can walk through the bridge now unimpeded. What remains is the four-kilometer link road on the Asaba side.

“Right now, our dredger is in place, we have to rebuild the road by reclaiming sand, the recent surge of flood has slowed us down. On the Onitsha side, there is a 7kilometer road that links the bridge and the Onitsha-Owerri interchange.”

Its a good project and we appreciate the work Buhari did. But APC is a no no no come 2023.

The bridge is a good one but don't tell us to vote APC because of it.

See the problem with you lots is that you have refused abruptly to make use of your brain.
A government that spent 8 years and you are using bridge as the only indices of it's measurements.

What about the economy?
What about security?
What about debt profile?
What about health sectors?
What about education?

Soon many of you will start asking what PDP did. Such an unreasonable line of argument.
To make matters worse, APC candidate is an old man who hardly speak to the issues on ground.

This bridge connects South South to South East and wonder why you lots always drag Igbos about it. I expect Nigerians to queue behind Peter Obi for a better Nigeria. Thank you.

Fashola really tried, never underestimate a smart and well performed politician. Vote for them based on their portfolio, and what they have done. I saw his housing projects all over the country, and I was impressed, serious!!!

Some will say Lagos was a capital when his turn to lead Nigeria comes.

Political strategy had change because of Obi.

Every politicians are now very serious in campaigning unlike before when they will be frying puff puff by the roadside to fool us with their fake concern about our welfare.

Peter Obi is the only presidential candidate who has brought something new to the table and departed from the old order of campaign
