In case you have no idea why Lagos transporters commenced a 7 days strike, let me give some clarity and make you really angry.

There are over 75,000 commercial buses (danfos) in Lagos, according to the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) estimates.

According to the International center for Investigative Reporting ICIR; Each commercial vehicle driver pays at least N3,000 to agberos, also known as tickets to touts, every day.

This means that these drivers pay an average of N225 million each day, N6.75 billion each month, and N82.125 billion each year to agberos in Lagos.

That is not all o. There are at least 50,000 tricycles (Keke Marwas) in Lagos and each of them pay 1800 to these touts each day.
This, therefore, means that each day, agberos walk off with N90 million from transport taxes collected from tricycle drivers. Every month, their pay reaches N2.7 billion, rising further to N32.85 billion every year.

The head of the Agberos and Oba of Oshodi designate, M. C. Oluomo, is a multi billionaire from the proceeds of this extortion.

He is also alleged to be the rigging linchpin of the ruling Party in Lagos.
Aside the fact that these boycott will severely affect ordinary hardworking Lagosians. I really will love to see this last for even a month.

Meanwhile, the man who created and directly benefits from this broad-daylight robbery wants to be your president.

God save Nigeria from Baba Alagbado'

There's nothing other than the effect Tinubu's creation, (Mind you, I'll not vote for Obi or Athiefkū) causing the drivers; Harassment, Exploitation and Intimidation.

This is misinformation

There is a difference between legitimate and illegitimate tax and over taxation

All commercial vehicles pay tax not just in Lagos alone.

That of Lagos has some peculiarities which is not new and the beauty of issues like this is the ability of the government and those involve to sit at a round table and resolve their issues which is exactly what is going on and the beauty of democracy.

Definitely better than killing each other, killing law enforcement agents, destroying government properties, disturbing the peace of the land and generally making life difficult for the common man.

The worst mistake Nigerians will make is to allow Tinubu become our president. This man will inflict unimaginable hardship on Nigerians once he achieve his lifetime ambition.

Thank you Mr Chijoke from Anambra state . I can see that you are more interested in Lagos affairs than your SE affairs out of political mischief.

Your feedback is well noted sir. LASG is already on the issue and has promised to get to the bottom of it.

I said it right from the very first day I set my eyes on him,
I knew he was a BIG THIEF,
I mean
TINIBU,
lagosians go dey boot of this thief,
Suffering and smiling
I used to think that the Yorubas are more educated,
But to me,it's beginning to sound otherwise.
Tinibu is a bad man along side oluomo.

Damn..... Truth be told..... Naija is bleeped up.... Na only 10 percent Lagos State go give back to the FG.... the remaining will be embezzled by these bastards and then go still use police escorts oppress us for streets like the video below...

Send their children abroad and the come back to take all the lucrative govt jobs

Coming to think of it... This is only from transport... We never talk of traders, hawkers, even the cooperate societies.... I watched on BBC the other day.. For a container to come between volks and alaba market.... They will spend over 100k settling agbero

To many leakages in this country...
