It is no secret in the Nigeria of today, that the North West and South West have benefitted more since the return of democracy in 1999. The country has rotated the number 1 position because the two geo-political divides: North and South. Now let’s analyze this deeper

1999 to 2007 southwest ruled
2007 to 2010 north west ruled
2010 to 2015 south south ruled
2015 to 2023 north west ruling

Obviously, the Igbos being one of the 3 major tribes in Nigeria haven’t had a shot at the seat till date. We could all agree to the assertions that they have been marginalized. Not just in the presidency but even when it comes to government appointment.

Having said that, the IGbos are now asking Nigerians to vote for their son for the purpose of fairnes and unity of the country. THIS IS I SEE THE HYPOCRISY OF THIER DEMANDs.

Yardua was only 3 years into his tenure when death came calling. Jonathan picked up from there to complete the tenure. 2011 elections came and the north where crying that he should not contest being it’s the turn of the north, this plea fell on deaf ears and the country, especially Ss and SE voted for Jonathan against the cry on the north. 2015 came, the clamor was power to return to the north. Even though a northern eventually was elected, but the SE voted for Jonathan en mass without considering the plea of the north.

Now it’s the turn of the south, but a northerner is on the ballot. The SE is not happy, they are calling him names, he wants to destroy the country, he is a BK sponsor, he hates igbo, otherwise he wouldn’t be contesting. This are the same people that overwhelming voted Jonathan in 2011 and 2015 (even though he lost) but crying at the moment that north is selfish, Obi should be voted for. In as much as The SE should produce a president, the lack of support from the north for Obi is as a result of the sowings of SE in 2011 and 2015. The north will congratulate Obi if he wins but the north will not vote for Obi.

True stake

I agree with you. However, your regions voted Jonathan in 2011 and 2015 even when you knew it was the turn of the north. Why then do you attack northerners for rallying behind Atiku

Neither will the SE ever vote for a Northerner for what it is doing now.

Going by your honourable eye-opening reasoning style. What is good for the goose...

God bless SE and lovers of Truth.

God bless SE and all Christians.

God bless you equally. I am also a Christian by the way, but one that is speaking about the untold and unthought reality

This line captured my attention. Your region voted for Jonathan when it was the turn of the north. Your same region is expecting the north to vote for OBi.

So where is the truth in the clamour?

Based on your analysis, the southwest region shouldn't be angry that Atiku is also on the ballot against Tinubu since Southwest overwhelming voted Goodluck Jonathan in 2011.

How about that?

Why is Tinubu crying because Atiku wants to succeed Buhari?

The logic is correct, I like the way you see through the hypocrisy!
But on another note, south east voted for Obasanjo and Jonathan, their choice was good because of the performance of the candidate they supported. Good judgement from them Kudos!
But, you see the issue of 2023 is a different ball game
firstly APC was demonized by the south east even before Buhari came into power and they even accused the south west as betrayers because of the vote for APC (Buhari). Now the PDP they voted for and supported since 1999 didn't find them 'qualified' to be given ticket to contest for presidency. Even when PDP knows that Buhari is a northerner and he has served 8 years, they still presented Atiku another northerner to Nigeria thereby, insulting our sensibility.
Tinubu worked to bring APC to power and garner votes for them to bring Buhari on board. So if they are shifting the presidency to south you don't expect APC to give it to south east given the antecedent of low support from that region.
Now, You can't blackmail anyone to vote for an Igbo man because its their turn, you are looking for it in the wrong place. PDP is the culprit here.
The Election should have been between Obi and Tinubu or any other southerner but Atiku has other ideas because he knows he could brainwash some northerner to make them think of tribe before justice.

As things are today Obi or Tinubu is the right step for Nigeria! an Atiku presidency will polarise the political space and may eventually break Nigeria because 'nobody be anybody slave'!

If obi wins (though unlikely) the politics of Nigeria is change forever and people will start coming for contest with idea and performance record and not just by building structure that you can feed with money and get votes from them. We need to clean up this over bloated Inec register and know the exact number of voters we have.
We need a free and fair election and no one should be disenfranchised because of one PVC when you have a valid NIN or BVN which to me is more authentic even.
