I have always known that the public exaggerate the salaries and allowances of the political office holders in this country, especially those that want to ask for salary increment. The pay is not as usually stated.

However, the corrupt ones among the Politicians take advantage of their offices to loot public funds meant for developmental projects. This is same as corrupt lecturers that demand for bribes from students, doctors that steal resources in government-owned hospitals to treat patients at exorbitant prices in their private hospitals, or secondary school principals that collect bribe money from WAEC students to allow them cheat and pass.
