Reminds me of my former governor Adebisi Akande who wanted to reduce the bloated government staff by sacking some of them. He said his state house cooks should stop killing a cow a day and should only buy 2 kilos of meat because he and his wife can't even finish that much. But of course my people labelled him Baba kilo, and only gave him one term and replaced him with a politician who would loot the state coffers so they too could loot. And now my state can't even pay the half salaries they were promised. Many Nigerians want a thief to be president so that when he steals he can't call them thieves. Those who would labour for their daily bread must not tarry least the lazy steal it all. 7 Likes |
