Hey guys!

i'm just trying to make a suggestion base on Hardware i hope you will understand what i mean when

i say Nairaland Computer Workshop!

Lets make this thread a workshop thread as in

if nairalander's want to Repair their computer

there will post fault here !

- and if you know how to Repair you can also help!!

i have a problem with my network
really serious problem

i am having a LAN problem in my office

my work system browse for some few minutes and in the next mintues displays
"the page can not be display"
i am sure this problem is not from my ISP i have comfirmed from them
when
i am operating on a v-sat
when i ping my router
it reply and times out at interval in the form shown below

this problem is the in all systems

initial i thought it was a virus problem because before the above problem appeared the whole clientS including the server was flashing a message IP CONLICT BUT I WAS SURE I WASN'T HAVING A CONFLICT IN MY NAMING.
so i tried formated the whole system sever inclusive still did not solve the problem
finally i decided to change my server operating system to MIKROTIK ROUTER OS
I WAS ABLE to stop the IP CONLICT
how ever i am still having this problem

wat do u say to this, A desk top Pc, (branded Compaq Prerssario 6000) 6020US series, After formatting wouldnt work with the lan driver downloaded from the HP website. Any clue

i have a system PII 300MHZ PHONIX BIOS
COMPUTER MANUFACTERED BY GATEWAY
the problem is this
i got new hard drive installed it in the system and installed my winxp
at the welcome page it hung
since then if i power the system
the power(not hard disk led) LED WILL keep on blinking, i have changeed the VGA card,power pack and RAM
BUT I noticed something when i changed the RAM THE power LED stopped blinking and was steady but still the system refuse to boot
help me out

first check your BIOS configuration to make certain your system can see the HDD. if the bios does not register the drive open the casing and check whether the IDE cable is plugged in the right way in the primary iDE slot. also check to see if the configuration is set to slave or master.
if the system can see the drive but you still cannot boot and NVRAM checks say ok, then there could be a problem with your xp installation. make abso

help me guys, this is quite urgent.
Problem No 1:
My Laptop Screen broke, i mean, cracked and therefore i have NO DISPLAY
My sytem is a HP 510.
I tried connectin it 2 my Monitor(Normal desktop monitor) with d cable that came with d monitor but, NADA!

I am in abuja and i dont know ANYBODY WHO CAN HELP
Does ANYONE know what i can do?
i need an idea on how much ths will cost me and any advice at all that u can gice, cuz ts a very delicate thing
and i cant just give d laptop 2 anybody.

Problem 2:
Ive got this project coming up on Computer Game Design, and i'm supposed 2 actually design a game using any programming language i know.
Does anyone have an e-book or materials on this topic? i'm learning VB 6.0 now but anything u have that can help me will be HIGHLY APPRECIATED

1. is it tru yuo can use one mother 4 two disks that is use it as two computers ,connect two monitors to one pc

2. in it true using yur phone gsm to browse with yur pc is slow compared to using the laandlines of ppl like multilinks, starcoomms,onet . thank yuetc

I don't quite understand your first question.

Yes, using GSM phone to browse is very slow compared to landline.
