Five governors elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and some aggrieved party leaders are currently having a strategic meeting in Lagos.


The meeting may not be unconnected to agitation for the removal of the PDP National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu.


A source, privy to the meeting, however, said the meeting would avail the Wike and his allies the opportunity to review recent developments in the party before taking its next step.


Governor Wike and his allies are currently having a closed door meeting and are expected to brief the press later.


Those expected at the meeting include Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.


Others at the meeting are former governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, former Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayo Fayose, former Cross River State Governor, Mr Donald Duke, former Plateau State Governor, Mr Jonah Jang and former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Chief Bode George.


Also present are former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Mr Bello Adoke; Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Mr Taoferk Arapaja; Senator Nasif Suleiman, Mr Nnena Ukeje, Senator S. O. Onor and Senator Mao Ohabunwa.


Recall that the Presidential Candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Governor Wike have been at daggers drawn over removal of Ayu and the need for the South to produce the party’s National Chairman.

If wike and his babies like ,they can go and meet in heaven, ayu isn't going anywhere. At this stage even if pdp loses ayu won't go. ATIKU is not just serious..Election of 2019 is not election of 2023..How can you open eyes and lose East and South, in an election with a 3rd force as Obi.
The only thing at this point is the G5 to tamper justice with Mercy as the BOT has agreed after elections Ayu should resign, and the agreement should be in black and white

they won’t adopt anybody.they will throw it open in their various states.makinde is already for tinubu.all they will want is anybody apart from atiku.

This is the same way it started in 2015, then PDP was in power. Tell Atiku to unite his party before it too late. I didn't see Atiku winning with division house. I gave it to tinubu for him able to unite his party.

Note this if Atiku is stubborn without power, he will be evil with power.

A divided house cannot stand.

APC will use the psychological perception that GT are against Atiku to rig the results in APC favour.

The people you are bragging about mobilizing for Atiku are now wiser than you left them 4 years ago. They also want a better Nigeria and they also know who best can deliver it. So stop fooling yourself because they will collect Atiku 's #5,000 per vote and still vote their mind.
