Abimbola Olajumoke Olawumi: Bisi Fayemi Petitions Police Over Cyberbullying by ijustdey: 9:41am On Dec 01, 2022
The wife of a former governor of Ekiti State, Bisi Fayemi, has petitioned the police, demanding an investigation of a woman, Mrs Abimbola Olajumoke Olawumi.

In the petition dated November 14 and addressed to the commissioner of police through her lawyer, Mr Luke Ekene Mbam of Octodas Attorneys (Topmost Chambers), she accused the woman of cyberbullying, cyberstalking, criminal, incessant and unabated social media attacks.

Mrs Fayemi who is invoking the provisions of the Cyber Crimes Act 2015, stressed that Abimbola, in spreading malicious falsehood against her, had so far failed to come out with any proof or evidence.

She said she was left with no option but to petition the police to clear her name and protect her image and reputation which she had built over the years.

Olawumi had in several posts on her Facebook accused Mrs Fayemi of shielding “family members” from arrest and prosecution for alleged sexual offences.

She also accused the former governor’s wife of money laundering to the tune of N500 million in Dubai and stealing a sum of N710 million a few weeks after the inauguration of her husband as governor in 2018.

Olawumi, while responding to the petition in a post said, “Rest assured that I’m fine”.

“I’m not moved a bit, because I can defend whatever I have written in court.

“She was arrested with N500 million Ekiti money in Dubai in 2018. The evidence will be tendered in court, I only await the CTC.”

Always quick to defend rubbish, just imagine a farmer has so much cassava plantation, some are even wasting due to over-abundance, but his children are starving of Garri and fufu to eat, then he has to depend on buying the same fufu and Garri at an exorbitant cost from another person while his children keep on starving from time to time waiting for him to bring it for them, is that not foolishness.

Back to the topic, the woman said she has evidence to back up her claims in court, if she does they should reverse the petition and arrest Bisi Fayemi Immediately to prove her innocence too - what is good for Paul is also good for Peter

Cyberbullies are not ghosts and they are not above the law!

Report cyberbullies! If you do not, he or she will move on to his/her next victim.

Cyberbullies do not stop unless they are arrested and prosecuted.

Cyberbullies are not ghosts and they are not above the law.

Many victims of cyberbullies suffered and died from toxic contents cyberbullies raised by irresponsible parents post on the social media but because the victims lack the resources and power to hold these cyberbullies to account, the cyberbullies commit crime and move on to their next victim.

Thank God for Mrs Aisha Buhari, the cyberbully now held in court to defend himself would have moved on to another victim.
Mrs Aisha Buhari stood up for victims of cyberbullies and may God bless her.


The NA must look at the social media bill once again.
