A video that appears to show women fighting for rice from a cooking pot has gone viral on social media.

In the video shared by Senator Shehu Sani on his social media page, hungry women from a certain part of the north were seen scrambling for rice from a cooking pot while still on fire.


Their kids could be heard crying in the background, while their parents jostle to scoop rice from the cooking pot.

He captioned it: "Where’s the Rice pyramid?

He, however, did not specify when and where the video was taken.
