2023: We Have Lost Confidence In INEC Conducting Free, Fair Election With BVAS – by sharpden: 5:00pm On Dec 05, 2022
Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) says they have lost confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a free and fair election during next year’s general election with the introduction of electronics accreditation and transmission of results.

Mr Tinubu stated this on Monday while addressing the audience at the Chatham House, frontline UK think-tank in London as part of a strategy to expound on his plans for security, economy and foreign policy.

He said the electoral body was yet to assure him and his party that the introduction of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and the INEC Results Viewing Portal (IReV) into the system are reliable.

His comments comes weeks after the national chairman of the ruling party, Adamu Adamu casted doubt at the adoption of the new initiative.

“We are still losing confidence in our democratic and voting system,” the former Lagos governor said. “INEC is still yet to assure us during this election that electronic transmission, the technology being used for the accreditation and the total votes counts is reliable, dependable and assuring in our democratic process before we introduce a complicated element of…ballot.”

The chairman of the commission, Mahmood Yakubu, has already said there was no going back on the use the the electronic devices which have already been deployed nationwide.

What are you afraid of? Your thuggery won't be effective with BVAS and electronic transmission of results?

Rule 31 Control the Options: Get Others to Play With the Cards You Deal

"By giving your opponents a choice, they will feel that they’re controlling their destiny. What they won’t realize is that you’re using them as a puppet to choose between two scenarios, both of which serve you

When given a choice between two possibilities, people rarely consider all the other potential options that could be on the table. Instead, they blindly choose to believe they have autonomy in their decision-making; too much freedom creates anxiety. By setting up a narrow range of choices, you can guide your opponent to play right into your hands."

Tinubu and APC trying to create the false impression they aint comfortable with BVAS. So the opponents can think they have got the upper hand.

The federal government is making efforts to eliminate vote-buying

INEC has introduced BIVAS and electronic transmission of results to deliver a free, fair and credible election.

If Tinubu wins next year's election after all these efforts, then Nigerians deserve everything they get from politicians.

So after the INEC offices were burnt, President Obi is still in the lead. Damn! That niggar be the GOAT.
I thought APC, after the Adamu BVAS saga, claimed that they had no problem with the use of technology. I thought they said his words were taken out of context. Now, Tinubu has repeated the same thing. Baba has slowly started preparing his excuse, alongside the I-AM-an-incoherent-old-man acting performance.

I really pity the likes of LegendHero, lhordspy and FreeStuffsNG. They are so bedazzled by Baba Lagos, that they can't see the truth staring them in the face. I hope they have a female companion to comfort them on the night of the election. I don't want them to cry themselves to sleep that night.

The rigging plans ain't gonna work according to plan Hence these terrible neighing by Tinubu is an obvious pointer that the odds are against him and his senseless and useless APC government. The APC benefitted from the few electoral reforms of 2010. So BVAS has come to stay.

You mean a ruling party is afraid of being rigged out? BVAS has come to stay whether APC likes or not. People don't know that this evil party have been collecting people's PVCs for 2k and copied their names and card number then issued it back to them. This has been going on in most of their gatherings and rallies. This is part of the reasons why they don't want BVAS.

This Chatham house Fiasco, has exposed the senile miscreant to the international stage.

APC ti lu le...and even Buhari, has washed his hands off the whole package.

You go fear Nigeria media and their news distortion.

Jagaban was asked about diasporan voting and he gave a reply that even tho it’s good that diasporans vote, our electoral system has not yet matured electronically to that extent and that Nigerians need to be more confident in INEC and electronic transmission before that can be done.

How this particular media house now twist this to BVAS and internal election is what I don’t understand.

This man is afraid of INEC, the chairman is afraid of INEC. They now realized that there won't be room for magomago.

One thing I am sure of is "there won't be high numbers of votes this time". Borno can't give 3 million again!

God bless you, I watched and listened to the live broadcast where he was asked about diaspora voting to which he responded to accordingly. If the Moderators push this fake news to the front page, all the respect I ever have for this platform will all go down the drain.

The headline is absolutely fake, don't fall for it. He was asked about diaspora voting which was answered. He said INEC is yet to assure us the reliability of BVAS before incorporating the complicated system of mail in ballot for diaspora voting. Pls go look up the video before falling for fake news.
