Fashola boasted that he can fix Nigeria electricity problem within six months when he was Lagos Governor.
He was Nigeria minister of power for four years yet he could not achieve 5,000 mw of electricity. That shows his level of incompetence.
Buhari borrowed billions of dollars across the world to make up for the dwindling revenue from oil. Hence lack of fund is not the issue in his government but lack of ideas.

I meant that the sector is underfunded. It takes far more money to turn it around than it gets. South Africa invests heavily in power and education, that is why their universities are top in Africa.

We don't invest heavily in these things. We cannot even afford to buy gas to generate power.
