US States Spend 41% Of State Budgets On (Sec/Tert) Education - NigeriaEconomist by NigerianAngelo(m): 5:10pm On Dec 17, 2022

An examination of US States shows that they spend between 37% and 45% of their State Budgets on Secondary&Tertiary education, with Health, and Infrastructure generally ranking Second and Third respectively.

State Percentage Year of Reference
California 42.5% 2022
Texas 41.6% 2021
New York 44.0% 2022
Nevada 37.5% 2020

A pool of US State Spendings on Education. It is estimated that the US States spend 41% of budgets on education on average.

The State of Nevada was 49th of 50 US States on Educational spending with about 37.5% of State Budget on Secondary (K-12) and Higher Education, with States such as California spending 42% on the combined levels of Secondary & Tertiary Education.

In the United States Education is principally funded by State Governments, with the Federal Government controlling the direction of Education and Research through grants and funding allocations.

The spending seems to be paying off with the US being the most entrepreneural major economy in the world with more than 130,000 major companies (100-500 staff) and a $76,000 per capita productivity.

There are local chapters of anything national.

Whatever excuse you want to give for Obi you must give for others who supervised protracted strikes.

Hypocrisy isn't a virtue.

Let's also not forget that 71% of Americans still can't afford tertiary education with the help of the Government. Tuition fee is that expensive..

Also America has fewer things to spend on (apart from their senseless war). They've already spent on infrastructures and power etc..
But Nigeria has an infrastructural decay, insecurity, revenue generation, power etc to spend on.. Education as important as it is can't take 41% of our budget when those mentioned things are not on ground..
