Two police officers arrested alongside ASP Dambri Vandi, over the murder of Lagos-based lawyer Mrs Bolanle Raheem, will be released today, IGBERETV reports.

Lagos police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin said the police officers are being processed for release after it was discovered that they were not involved in the crime.

Hundeyin said the police officers were taken into custody immediately and later transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for thorough investigation.

He said;

“The two police men arrested with ASP , who killed the lawyer will be released today (Tuesday) after giving their testimonies to the command.

“They were arrested because they saw what happened. They were not the ones who allegedly killed the woman.

“They have given their stories on what happened and the CP has ordered that they should be released while investigations continue.”

He lifted the gun from his shoulder, pointed it at her and shot her. There's nothing accidental about that. He should be sentenced to hang on live TV.

The particular officer who killed the woman should be sentenced to death by shooting.

Then arrest and dismiss the other police officers that were at the scene because they are all bad eggs.

Justice must take its full course in this very sad incident.

Killed on Christmas day morning...... so sad. cry cry

May God comfort her family at this sad period.

It is from this same division an Officer killed Gafaru Buraimoh about 2 weeks ago.

This barbarism by some of the Nigerian Police officers must come to an end.

This murderer must pay for his crime!

innocence and Nigeria Police should not be in the same sentence.

would they order the release SO QUICKLY If it was a civilian that witnessed the murder?

There's something known as Third degree manslaughter in Law....Those guys are highly culpable of that crime and should be tried accordingly instead of being released unceremoniously or maybe this here could be a prelude of this case being swept under the carpet ..
