Especially that unfortunate rickety Union Bank.
I now hate them like pap!
They always v poor service, dispense error and dirty notes. You can't withdraw more than N10K once.
Very tortoise bank! Slow in everything.

I won't be surprised to read later that the DSS or EFCC or NFIU or some other dysfunctional agencies and their abbreviations order commercial banks to load old notes.
Heck!!! Even some warlord in Zamfara or Chad can impose anything. We are here sha. Later this year we'll have a super shuffle.

The cabals are stronger than the CBN policy. The banks are part of the cabals.

Like someone said up there, backyard exchanges are still going on.

On the other hand, I don't trust anything APC. This whole thing may be an election game.

Who issued the warning? Could it be the fleeing CBN governor or there is a new one in place.

angry This is the raw truth, CBN don't have enough of the new notes to give banks yet. They should stop painting it as if it's the banks fault, have you ever thought of this? If the old notes were exchanged for the new ones by CBN to banks why on earth will banks load old notes?

I am also thinking along this line. Do you know that I'm in Benin city ? And I use the bank almost daily for withdrawal. I have not seen the ₦500 and ₦200 notes with my two eyes, not even in the bank. I only see them on screen (internet and television).

I'm not an Economist so I don't know for sure how this policy is going to turnaround our economic fortunes but you see the political angle to it?
CBN really carried some politicians who have looted our commonwealth & stashed them away in their personal vaults across the country Handicap; if not for unscrupulous banking officers that are still helping these thieving politicians to circumvent this new policy, most of them would've been crying blood by now.
