Oshio Bulldozer : Why Oshiomhole's Stewardship Is Still A Reference Point For Edo State's Infrastructural Revolution

According to Wikipedia, a nickname is a substitute for the proper name of a familiar person, place, or thing that is commonly used to express affection.

There are so many nicknames for many things that are loved in the world, including women, happiness, and a plethora of other things. In other words, having many nicknames always indicates that a person, place, or thing is well liked by the majority.

Adams Oshiomhole, the former governor of Edo State, is known by many nicknames that are attached to his past and present accomplishments. These nicknames are not only breathtaking, but they also have historical roots in his antecedents.

Adams Oshiomhole has recently appeared on multiple timelines across various social media platforms, either in support of the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, or in support of his own Edo North Senatorial ambition.

One distinctive aspect of his appearance that stood out to us was the use of several nicknames to announce his entrance at these different events. Shouts like "Oshobaba..." "Oshioquake..." "Oshiothunder..." "Oshioplenty..." "Oshiowonder..." "OshioBuldozer..." "Oshiowarrior..." "Oshiofire..." etc., always filled the air.

Oshiomhole got these nicknames from his union days in the textile industry, the Nigerian Labor Congress, as Edo State Governor, and even as the APC's National Chairman.

Throughout this time, the APC Deputy DG of the party presidential council had such a positive impact on so many people that he earned these nicknames.

Oshiomhole, for instance, is referred to as Oshiobuldozer in Edo State because, during his term as governor of that state, bulldozers were used in unprecedented numbers to build roads and other forms of infrastructure.

The presence of these bulldozers across the three senatorial districts was so noticeable that the people nicknamed him Oshiobulldozer.

People call him Oshiowonder because of the wonders he brought to Edo State during his tenure as Governor. The Red Roof Revolution refers to the renovation of all schools and the hiring of adequate teachers.

Oshiowarrior was bestowed upon him after he dethroned the cabal known as the Godfathers who impeded development in Edo State, the people who claimed Mammy Water existed on roads and thus construction could not take place in such areas.

To this day, Adams Oshiomhole's stewardship is still a reference point for Edo State's infrastructural revolution. When you hear him referred to as Oshioquake, it refers to the wonderful storm water project that was meant to alleviate flooding in Benin City and the State in general. Oshiobaba refers to the amiable people's father who is always there for the masses.

Do you recall the nickname, Oshiowarrior? He tamed the PDP renegades in the National Assembly as APC National Chairman, recalling that for the first time, we had a Pro-PDP Senate President in the person of Bukola Saraki and a PDP Deputy Senate President in the person of Ekweremadu, as National Chairman Oshiomhole ensured that ugly incident never happened again.

Like Jay Jay Okocha, who was so good that he was renamed twice, Adams Oshiomhole is so beloved that he has been renamed multiple times by his people, and wherever he goes, he is showered with love.

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who is the senatorial candidate for Edo North is so much loved by the people.

How APC's campaign can help Obidients

We all know that APC supporters are people with attributes such as greed, ethnic and religious bigotry, criminal tendencies, and illiteracy. Which is why they would support a controversial candidate in the first place. However, APC can help you in two ways:

1. They can help you spot potential criminals, and small-minded people you should avoid. For instance, I have used this campaign season as an opportunity to sanitize my social media by blocking anyone supporting Tinubu. This way I can be sure that my social media feeds will only contain posts from reasonable people for the foreseeable future.

2. If you're an employer, you can quickly filter out potential employees who lack morals and will eventually ruin your business by just checking their social media posts. Once you see posts supporting Tinubu from them, just turn them down. This is a cheap way to ensure that you're hiring the best minds.

If you have more creative ways APC's campaign can help you please share it here.
