THE HISTORY OF ALASORO Alasoro is one of the ancient town in Kwara state, situated along panada Yaru Road under Ifelodun Local Government Area, forming ward two conscituency of Igbaja District. Alasoro is one of the communities that marched together to form Ebamiyo Community for Government recognition and quick development in early 70s. ALASORO was founded over Two hundred and seventy two years ago as at 2022. (1750) century. The existence of Alasoro was due to migration of of the founder. Prince "AINA" The great hunter, son of Oba Ibitoye, Ibitoye, the son of Odungbeku, son of Arapa, a descendant of Olomu Aperan . AINA left Omu-aran with his only wife Adeola Ose. Popularly called (Obinrin Pamando) AINA first settled in between Igbaja and Adanla for his hunting career, He as well practice crops production farming for His family consumption. As at then, He discovered a flat top hill of rock, where He always go to rest and spread His Hay of arrow. When ever AINA is going there, He usually tell people : Moun loo sa oro . Meaning : I am going to spread Hay! As a great hunter, AINA was found of poisonous arrow , If any aimed Animal shoot on target, death is the result. This peculiarity in Aina hunting career gave Him the nickname : Ani Asa Oro : Meaning :Owner of poisonous arrow. This in turn called "ALASORO " till today for linguistic convinience. There comes a time when AINA had a brief conflicts with the people of Igbaja and Adanla, He was aledged of killed a pregnant goat and was later reported at Kwara state Traditional court, held by Oba Sulu Gambari. The two villages ( Igbaja and Adanla) were found guilty, following a thorough investigation and factual facts that Food is of more important than meet. After the judgement. AINA felt inconvenient to live in between Igbaja and Adanla.Having believed, He lived in between two enemy. He then migrated to a near by place, in order to allowed peace to reign. Copied |
