The initial intention was good as these fuelling stations cause untold hardship like North West fuelling Station at VGC, Total at Baba Adisa Lekki Epe Expressway, and some others thereby making vehicular movements tedious.

In all, the Federal Government needs to resolve this fuel issue particularly at a time elections is getting close.

The stations are not the ones causing hardship its desperate Nigerians who need to get fuel.. and most wont just be orderly

Some people just come online and open their mouth waaaa like whale without even knowing what the topic is about
All they come online to do is scream like babies with no IQ and abuse governors of a state without offering any counter solution.
The most annoying are those who leave the topic and start talking about their presidential candidate,I leave those IQ less babies for now.
For those who condemn what the Government of Lagos is trying to do I say shame on you,I have spent so many hours in traffic in Lagos in the last 5 days especially coming form the mainland to the island.
The hold up is on another level especially those who queue on the expressway trying to buy fuel and block other road users.
Why would anyone criticize the government for asking these petrol stations to stop selling by 4pm.
If these filling stations can't get their customers to be orderly when waiting to buy fuel, then they should shut down by 4pm,it's crazy when you have to wait for hours just to pass by a filling station.
Gov Sanwo-olu should form a task force to close down any erring station that allows it customers to block the entire road and force other road users to stay in traffic for hours unending.
God bless Nigeria.

If I may ask, what is the reason why there is scarcity in the first place? If there is no scarcity, will there be queue?

Make we de reason properly and not only check how it affects us.

You're the one that is crazy. Go and find out was the M in LASTMA means.

LASTMA officials are supposed to be on ground around those stations to ensure sanity in the queues and ensure smooth vehicular movement along those roads.

LASG should also do whatever they can to end the scarcity ASAP.

To know that some of these high government officials have degrees and are parading certificates gives credence to the expression some people make that "school is a sham".
How a commissioner, agency head etc, came up with such utterly pathetic idea in the first place,is enough to investigate the degrees and certificates they have been using.

Why reversing it? The filling stations are wasting our productive hours on the road burning the same fuel which is not available. Only today, Ikeja along was free from cement because the Oando filling before Airport turning obeyed the rule. We spent less than 10min for a trip we usually spend more than an hour.
Then where will you see the fuel to buy when you have to rush out by evening time to attend an urgent matter or an emergency and your car or cab you boarded runs out of fuel?
Where will fire trucks, hospital emergency vans or other emergency vehicles have the fuel to take emergency cases to a referred facility or when a woman in labour has to be rushed to the hospital and there is no vehicle in sight or the one that is available has very little fuel and not sure of it being enough to take her to the hospital?
The same utterly stupendous and mentally deranged reason they gave,to avoid long queues, would even play out more with this 9am-4pm utter crap because most transport owners knowing that limited time will all be queueing up to be in the queue during that same period.
Many people don't even know that the same stiffled economic growth caused by lack of electricity is also made worse by almost all filling stations in Nigeria closing by 8pm or max 10pm.
If half of the fuel stations in Nigeria or even 1/4 are open for 24 hours the growth to the economy and direct/indirect employment that will cause will be enormous.
But one imp comes up with a stone aged 9am-4pm idea, and some people even see merit in it!
Some of you have sawdust for what you call a brain!!

Why can't the government make fuel available? Why not tackle the problem from the root? No light, no fuel, no security, no good roads. The suffering in Lagos can't be explain and them go still tax me join the suffering

Read my earlier post on this matter. I said you cannot solve a problem with another problem. If N185;will guarantee an uninterrupted supply of PMS at the pump then we are okay. It does not make economic sense to spend more than 10 minutes in a fuel station with multiple pumps dispensing It is purely economic waste and anti-development. The government does not care on this social statistics because crude oil is selling, they can borrow at will, tax rate can be increased, IGR is flowing etc. They care less if businesses are bleeding to death while SMEs are the engine of growth in sane economies. There are still more concessions to be granted or LASG must seek from FG and be implemented fast otherwise nothing is guaranteed in the forthcoming election. Over 3 million PVCs are abandoned in the south west alone yet we have a candidate. I hope they understand voter apathy.

but he won’t form a task force that will ensure that marketers sell their products at the normal price or that will stop them from hoarding it. It is not racketeering and hoarding that created the traffic at the filling stations ? Sanwolu is a specialist in treatment of effects and not causes

This your epistle not it at all.
Ask yourself, who caused the scarcity that lead to more traffic?
Also, what are the lastma management doing about it? Is not there job?
Thirdly, a sitting governor giving a time frame on what's scarce is a no no. If he wants to reduce it he should open government fuel dome for the public.
