PRESS STATEMENT ON ADOPTION AND ENDORSEMENT OF PETER OBI AND DATTI-BABA AHMED BY NCP

The National Conscience party (NCP), one of the foremost political party in Nigeria is pleased to announce its adoption of the labour party’s presidential flag bearer ex-governor Peter Obi and his Vice, Senator Datti Baba Ahmed as its choice for the fourth coming February 25th Presidential election.

Though we are still facing challenges of deregistration by INEC.

We will mobilize our members and supporters nationwide to canvass and vote for the labour party candidature because we share their philosophy and manifesto.

We have studied both the party’s manifesto and the characters of the ex-governor Peter Obi and Datti Baba Ahmed carefully and we believe that the labour party’s candidates have what it takes to earn our trust and confidence.

We have also reviewed deeply the 7 Point Agenda of Peter Obi and Datti Baba Ahmad

1. Securing and uniting Nigeria

2. Production-centred growth for food security and export

3. Effective legal and institutional reforms (rule of law, corruption, and government effectiveness)

4. Leapfrogging Nigeria from oil to the fourth industrial revolution (4IR)

5. Expanding physical infrastructure through market-driven reforms (unleashing growth, enabling entrepreneurship an market-creating innovations)

6. Human capital development that empowers competitiveness.

7. Rebus foreign policy that restores Nigerian strategic relevance.

With particular reference to page 7 as stated below:

We are coming to run an entrepreneurial state able to double Nigeria’s GDP in a short time and reduce extreme poverty like China which removed 740m from poverty through a policy that emphasized a social market economy. Our focus is to ensure that wealth is created through sectors that improve the well-being of all Nigerians. Our theory of change is DEMOCRATIC CITIZENSHIP.

Therefore, we will prioritize economic and social rights under chapter 2 of the constitution and implement these rights through social programs and projects that empower the people and mainstream the poor first in access to critical services. To ensure poverty reduction, based on fast economic growth our governance principles, priority projects and programs that will be anchored on the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs)

As captured in the 72 pages manifesto tagged it is possible our pact with Nigerians. This is in consonant with the slogan of the NCP of the abolition of poverty and 10 care programs.

As empowered by the NEC and NCC of the party on this day 22nd January 2023, we hereby adopt and endorse Peter Obi and Datti-Baba Ahmed’s Presidential ticket of the Labour Party for the 2023 general election.

This adoption/endorsement has been officially communicated to the party even though we have since be working in collaboration with the big tent and Obidient movement to drive the project of Obi/Datti campaign. We urge all members and indeed Nigerians to work together with the Labour Party in achieving this monumental task of rescuing Nigeria, uniting and rebuilding its feature.

We also thank Chief Edward NKwegu and Chief Nwanbuaze Governorship candidate of Labour party in Ebonyi state for all the support.

Dr Yuusa Tanko
National Chairman

As usual, they'd say it's inconsequential. Lol. I had money to buy fuel yesterday but I no see fuel buy. Dollar is hard to find. Insecurity has become a commonplace, poverty chart keeps moving up. No single day passes without the NDLEA confiscating drugs all over the country from all tribes. Our economy had been messed up....and yet, same party is saying we should vote them again. Na juju abi wetin?

No matter how you express your beef and anger against him there are facts you cannot change which include;

1. He ran the most secured state in Nigeria during his tenure. Former IGP Abubarkar gave him 5 years accollades of the most secured state back to back for 5 years.

2. The minister of works then gave him the best accolade of a governor that built 800km of road network in 8years

3. Educationally , He met Anambra at 26th position in 2006 and left it at 1st by 2014 when he was leaving.

4. He was the only governor that met the millennium development goal in Nigeria in both education and health. In fact , Milinda and bill gate foundation gave him a personal gift of 1 million dollar for his achievement. Which he dropped in the state account rather than putting in his own private account.

5. He is the only former governor today that does not collect pension, gratuity, land gift and allowances since he left the govt in 2014.

6. When he became SEC chairman under President Jonathan, he told SEC to hold back all his allowance and entitlement as a Board chairman . He left without nothing. He said he does not need them.

When he was chairman of fidelity bank , he was entitled to two brand new cars annually. He told the board. I don't need them. Let me just come for meetings and go home.

You can only be angry with him. You cannot change the facts.

Vote LP .

When Obi has already won why will he need any alliances now?
Anyway, any alliance not with Kwankwaso or PDP is irrelevant. Quote me after the elections.

If it took Peter Obi, with the meagre resources within his disposal, less than 8 months to take Labor party and the struggle for a new Nigeria to this enviable level of greatness, why would one doubt his ability to transform Nigeria in 8 years?

Grace all the way

It is called National Conscience party, it was formed by Late Chief Gani Fawehinmi, he called himself senior advocate for the masses because he fought for the masses, not what Tinubu is claiming.

Every alignment that you see comes with monetary transactions and perhaps future hope of the add plays.

Expect PRP and SDP to soon collapse to APC.

Note TINUBU WILL soon declare his support for Obi 🥸 and then decamp to PDP.
