ABUJA—The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, yesterday, dismissed an application filed before it by the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, asking it to declare its candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, as the bona-fide winner of the April 16 presidential election.

The opposition party lost its bid to sack President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on a day a four-man panel of justices of the Appeal Court, led by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garuba, authorised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, not to allow the petitioner to take copy of any of the ballot papers used in the conduct of the presidential poll.


l wonder how Buhari and his lawyers ever think it will be possible for any court to declare him winner of the last election without first hearing the case.

We need to change this man's name to "General Loser".

Whether it Buhari or Jonathan is completely irrelevant when the judiciary is completely compromised in a nation, only God knows what awaits that nation.

The judgement of the Tribunal is a mockery of the judiciary! The court order was very recent and the wording very unambiguous to the layman! Why is the Tribunal trying to play fool at mid night?

I am not a supporter of Buhari but I stand to condem evil when one raise his head!

Today it might be Buhari, tommorrow it could be your mother, unborn child or even your very self.

Also, if you have read the damming Wikileaks cable on Justice M. Uwais's revelations to the then American ambassador to Nigeria about the 2003 Presidential Election tribunal and her decisions, you sure will be ashamed of your post.

The joke is on all of you mocking Buhari. What do you have as a Nation right now while a President too Weak to "excercise authority" (according to Akunyili) looks on cluelessly? Buhari would have been a million times better than GEJ. The case is still on going, the party has been allowed access to the materials, they just can not take it away, what kind of post is this sef.

The inability of INEC to allow for complete scanning and subsequently duplicate for further analysis the biometric finger print of registered voters by CPC no doubt will weaken thier case based on evidence.

The judge should be ashame for allowing himself to be used as an agent of retrogression!

Buhari may be just what Nigeria needs right now. Jonathan is a complete i diot, he sits in Abuja while Nigeria burns and masses are suffering. Kidnapping has been renewed because of desperation. Public office holders are looting while he's acting like he will not protect thieves. Politicians that steals knows that Buhari will not tolerate looting that's why they are protecting Jonathan.
