The APC presidential candidate is already sensing defeat hence he now blames Buhari for allowing CBN to redesign Naira and the crippling fuel scarcity.

Tinubu who mid last year bought up delegates to secure APC ticket had hoped to buy votes in February 2023. However, that hope is now hopeless, no thanks to CBN, who have decided to striffle Naira supply as well as render all hoarded old currency invalid in the next 6 days. It would be recalled that Tinubu had mobilized over two bullion Vans in 2019 to buy votes. Unfortunately for him , the new CBN policy which limits cash withdrawal would make buying votes very difficult. The latter will smell doom for Tinubu and APC. Many would recall the effect of cash splashing during Ekiti elections, where voters were online displayed wads of Naira notes.

The APC is also scared that the persistent fuel scarcity may be a ploy by Buhari to make the party look bad. It is quite understandable because neither Buhari nor over 30 members of his cabinet, including the VP Osinbajo have openly canvassed votes for Tinubu. Some may argue that Buhari was in Taraba and Bauchi states but those campaigns were on the specific invitations of the respective states APC governorship candidates.

Tinubu's renewed hope is fast becoming a ad dream. Let us pray for the old baba blu bulaga crooner as his February 25 defeat draws closer.
