A former governorship chief of staff, Biodun Omole, says APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, should not be blamed for President Muhammadu Buhari’s shortcomings. Omoleye, who served under ex-Governor Kayode Fayemi, stated this while flagging off his campaign for a seat in the House of Representatives. According to him, it was not a crime for Tinubu to campaign for Buhari in 2015 and 2019.

“The fact that Tinubu played a major role in ensuring that Buhari became Nigeria’s president is not an excuse for anyone to now blame him for the short- comings in Buhari’s government.

So, it is totally wrong to use Buhari’s deficiencies to judge Tinubu, the two personalities are not the same. They have different backgrounds, leadership styles, approaches to issues, different strategies and ideologies,” the politician reason.

He added, “Tinubu is coming with his own visions and programmes for the people. He has got his own plans. So, please let us stop making the mistake of blaming Tinubu for Buhari’s shortcomings. He cannot be blamed at all.”

Urging Ekiti people to vote for Tinubu in the presidential election, Omoleye explained that the APC flag bearer “has the capacity to deliver on his promises, he has done it in Lagos and he performed excellently, he never failed, his excellent record of achievements still speaks for him till today,.”

Speaking about his federal legislative’s ambition, Omoleye, pledged to provide quality representation for the Ekiti Central federal constituency II in the Green Chamber. He also promised to tackle youth unemployment and reduce poverty in his constituency, if elected. He urged the constituents to vote for him, Tinubu, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele and other APC candidates in the general election.

“The forthcoming election is not just about Biodun Omoleye or any of our candidates but about APC as a family. The 2023 elections provide us another golden opportunity to actualise our age-long dream as a race. We must be united more than ever this time to get it right,” added Omoleye.

Tinubu had while campaigning for the then candidate of the Action Congress, Atiku Abubakar, in 2007, described Buhari of the All Nigeria Peoples Party as an ethnic bigot.

Interestingly, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, who is now the Minister of Information, was part of Atiku’s campaign team at the time and had lambasted Buhari for saying the late military dictator, General Sani Abacha, did not steal...."

Imagine a Tinubu who was knowledgeable to fully know Buhari antecedents in the 1983-45 era yet supported him to bastardised a nation because of his emi lo kan greedy mentality. Tinubu even supported most of the disastrous anti-human policies of the Buhari regime. Yet today is telling the beleaguered citizens of Nigeria that he is different from Buhari.

He is now distancing himself from campaigning with the deceptive change or next level mantras of old but now making senseless reference to "renewed hope", "builder of men/City of Lagos"? Yorubas would have never voted for the heroine-drug criminal called Bola Ahmed Tinubu were he an Igbo man.So why are some people shameless?

Now this fool is making excuse to exonerate a Bola Tinubu who boldly and gleefully told the whole world that "without me, Buhari wouldn't have been president. I made Buhari president."? Are we all sick or senseless in Nigeria or sheer wicked? So who is fooling who?

These same fools wickedly criminalised everyone that helped in instituting the government of President Goodluck Jonathan but Buhari or Tinubu Can't be blamed for the disastrous government they have ever imposed on a nation? Thunder fire you!

This clarion call becomes necessary because APC is a Party that is made up of strange bedfellows whose political and economic interests are antithetical to the development of Delta State in particular and Nigeria in general.

The struggle for power, "grab-grab" and if "it is not me, it cannot be another person's mentality" of APC Leaders is what has brought Nigeria on her knees today!
